Excellent hotel with good staff and service with only poor coffee to downgrade our experience.
Pros:

Breakfast was good and the service was excellent, but the coffee was poor - we had hoped for better!
The Superior Room was great and much better appointed than other rooms who our friends and family had booked, so we definitely won out there.

Cons:

Just the qulaity of the coffee being served both in room and at breakfast - our coffee tastes have developed over the years and basic instant coffee no longer cuts it for us.

Pros:

The room was a little tiered and the bed was very uncomfortable. However the bathroom was fab with it being recently refurbished.

The breakfast was okay at best.

Cons:

The bed was dreadful. Hard mattress.

Pros:

Beds were comfortable enough. Staff were nice. Breakfast was decent.

Cons:

Check out was 11 which is normal but at exactly 11am they sounded an alarm in the room which was uncalled for. The fact that we paid an extra 60 pound to get into the room early was fine but to not even get 5 mins leeway with checkout was a bit off.

Average at best - could be great
Pros:

The hotel is fine big plus it allows dogs, however for the price point I expected more. The rooms are clean, the TV is small and if the green agenda is at the forefront turn the heating downand provide hand soap, the tiny package wasn’t enough. Food is ok but service is slow, when there are 6 customers over three table’s waiting so long for a drinks order shouldn’t be necessary. Breakfast reads well but taste wise is missing the mark. Staff are pleaseant, Noah in the bar is a particular highlight. Town is pleasant but with a bit more detail on the food offering this hotel could be a great find. Doubt we will return.

Lovely place
Pros:

Centrally located in a nice area, beautiful building with period features. Bathrroom very modern with great shower and bath. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

The radiator in the room was heating the room ok but we wondered if it would be sufficiently warm on a colder night.
