Beautiful building, great location
Room was nice and location was good.
Couldn't get a parking space told to park in the town. Breakfast was lukewarm.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Cater well for gluten and dairy free. Excellent breakfast.
Wine and evening meal a bit expensive but good quality.
Breakfast was generally pretty good. Room was decent (quiet and comfy but a lot of stairs and a maze to get there). Staff were very helpful
Paying £125+ per night I would expect better quality toilet paper ;) Breakfast coffee was horrific.
great service, good food
Location excellent to walk to restaurants/shops in Darlington.
Staff I met were friendly/efficient.
Sadly the hotel itself in need of some TLC. It’s tired, paint peeling, room furnishings need upgrading/refurbishing/modernising, restaurant in similar need. Breakfast very ordinary buffet. Overall not great value for money.
Location was excellent, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom
Sadly the staff were not particularly engaging
Was clean staff excelent breakfast was great location good as i am slightly disabled they marked parking space at the door
Every thing was perfect
Bed was comfortable.
Good shower. Large bath towels.
Food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced.
Good English breakfast...
Beautiful hotel, excellent staff and delicious food. Hot water is scalding hot.
Breakfast is awesome and fancy! Great for staying with bikes.
Felt pleasant and very comfortable
Nothing to complain about
Nice basic room, very clean.
Good location
Good breakfast
Nice bar, good beer.
Room clean but peeling paint especially in bathroom, basic decor issues need to be sorted.
Could not work shower no matter how much I tried.
This was worth maybe £80-100 a night, not £150 (although I paid less as through booking.com); suspect this is due to lack of alternatives.
Staff a bit brusque, need some improved communication with guests
Location
The room was a bit shabby and dated. Very overpriced
Staff were very pleasant and professional.
The room and bathroom were dated it requied attention, window in the room rattled when open. People arguing in the corridors in the early hours of the morning kept us awake. Breakfast wall all gone by 9.20am and not replenished. We won't be returning.
