Holiday Inn Express Campo De Gibraltar - Barrios by IHG

This hotel is just off the highway and a peefect spot for day trips to Gibraltar and Tangiers through the Tarifa port. Staff were prompt and friendly with an easy check in and out. One staffer promptly addressed a concern we experienced involving another guest (boisterous and inebriated). He spoke to the guest to warn them and he also offered us another room on another floor to move us from the area which we accepted.

Breakfast was good with plenty of seating options so we didn't have to wait for a table.
There is a shopping centre (more of an arcade), some big chain restaurants to eat at and a grocery store all within a 5 min walk from the hotel.

The hotel is on the older side but we found it clean, good space in the room and the beds were great.

This is third time we have stayed at Holiday Inn express in Spain, first time at this one. Breakfast was wonderful--I cant emphasize the benefit that this is. The rooms were clean. The sofa bed is sufficiently comfortable but a full bed would be better. Having said that, my large fat self slept very well on the Sofa bed. Parking was fine as street parking in that area is ample and easy to find right outside the hotel.

The location is not far from the cost of Andalusia, where holiday hotels abound, with pools and sun loungers, but this is more for a sort of business stay. A budget business stay - like if you're the (Philippino) crew of a ship rather than the passengers. The a/c in my room didn't work so I was given an alternative room. Smoking was/is allowed. My room had an ashtray . . . and the stink of stale cigarette smoke was disgusting. As for general condition, attached is a photo of the carpet . . .

Kudos to this hotel and its staff. Their staff was very friendly and helpful explaining about a number of items including the bus, ATMs, etc. and storing our bags while we picked up our rental car. There was free breakfast with a wide variety of items. It is conveniently located. Highly recommend.

We stayed here as part as our visit to Gibraltar, everything about the hotel was great, but we picked the wrong location, so costs alot in taxi fees, but our fault.

If you don’t want to spend too much money when you are near Gibraltar then this is good option, we went to Gibraltar but gib was expensive so opted to stay over night this hotel, not to fancy but didn't disappoint at all free parking free breakfast with good options, overall worth money

easy stop after the ferry from Tangier (and hell). nice and clean and friendly staff.

The front desk service was terrible. The rooms are mediocre and don’t have air conditioning in the winter, even though the temperature was in the mid 20s. It’s not what I expected from a Holiday Inn hotel.

Basic but very comfortable Hotel. Clean and spacious. Rooms were in good condition and clean. Could have some wall hangers for coats as the wardrobe wasn't very practical. Bathroom has a full height frosty window into the room which makes it awkward to use at night with other people in the room. TV is tiny but that's fine. Breakfast was decent although bread was pretty well cooked if you have the teeth. Parking is just outside and very tight. Nice location with plenty of things to do and places to eat.
