Nothing
The hotel wax a building site disrespectful of a friend of mine who wanted to visit fir a brief period
Door to room was badly damaged through previous residents
Bar noise was dreadful until past midnight not controlled by management
The bed was two beds joined not a double bed
The hotel had the nerve to charge on top
Of £80 £12 to park in hotel car park where the whole place a building site this was not highlighted on booking
Dreadful experience should not be allowed to take bookings let alone through booking .com
Dreadful
Absolutely nothing. Do not book
Booked for a friend who needed a room with a bathtub in an emergency due to her health condition at 1am. Booked room with bathtub when she was arrived she was told room.not available take another room with only a cold shower or go away. She stayed for a few hours until it was morning and left. Hotel refused a refund despite the room booked not being available.
Location
Hotel under refurbishment, we were not told. We received message rom hotel and Booking.com in the morning and both stated meals would be served in there restaurant and neither mentioned any work being carried out.First room was awful, view was all building rubble and rubbish, door would not lock had to call maintenance and they could not sort it, we had to change rooms. Only room available was a self contained flat on fourth floor, which was ok but had to stop lift at third floor and walk through where builders were working, no carpet and very dusty, walk up stairs to the apartment. This was nice and new. We had breakfast included but we had to walk down the hill to a sister hotel, The Hermitage, when we arrived were treated like we just walked off the street, they were not expecting us, kept us waiting while they checked it out! This happened both mornings. We used the pool and sauna room, this was filthy and so run down should not really be used.
Location
Poor shower and rickety bath. Squeeky floorboards.
Breakfast was ok
I asked for a complimentary upgrade for my birthday. I did this online 2 months before we arrived. I was told to ask during check in and the young boy on reception told us they were fully booked! There were around 6 cars in the car park and we were the only guests the next morning for breakfast!! Bar was closed too.
The pool and sauna area
Due to refurbishment. You had to go another hotel for breakfast. Big inconvenience.
Location didn't It was close to the Bic
The bed you could fill the springs coming through the floorboards were squeaky wherever you walked in the room all you heard was the floorboards , not enough plug sockets , and you have to go to another hotel to have your breakfast. The breakfast was very nice there but it was a bit inconvenient when you were staying in one hotel and then had to go to another. And we wasn't told that the hotel was under construction
The location was good. That was the only thing about a bit.
You ought to walk, to another hotel for breakfast? I think they should have emailed so it could put me in another hotel.I don't book an hotel to walk for breakfast. The cleaner was not very good. Your floorboard's creak every time you get out of bed. I think you should give people compensation.
Great location, very easy to walk to the main attractions, restaurants etc
It's looking a little tired but perhaps that will be rectified before the high season
It is very central to Bournemouth and bic
From outside it was very tatty. The rooms were very tired and dated. Electric sockets in my room didn’t work, my friends room the curtains only had a couple of hooks. Refurbished works were bring carried out in part of the hotel and people were working in the rooms above ours until early hours. The bar had no soft drinks and the glasses were dirty.
The hotel is being refurbished and it looked tired. When we parked there was a lot of rubbish outside the entrance. But there were a lot of parking spaces and check in was very straightforward. I paid (expensive) for parking as I didn’t book direct with the hotel and I paid for breakfast (ok price) - due to the refurbishment it’s currently served at the sister hotel , The Hermitage (looks like a lovely hotel) - about 4 mins down the road. Loved the breakfast. The Trouville hotel is about 5 mins from the beach. The location of the hotel is great. We used the pool and hot tub and they are good. The room was ok - it was tired and in need of some tlc, but as a base it was fine for us and pretty good value.
The hotel was tired and the room needed a good clean behind the dated furniture - bedding was clean and beds ok. Good selection of hot drinks in the room. No plug sockets by the bedside table.
Walls not that thick and only single pane window -could hear nearby music late into the night. Heard people talking in the morning in the small corridor outside. The size of the room was good and the bathroom was a decent size, very tired, but functional. Disappointed with the room when we first arrived - but in fairness it was basic, but ok. Just dated and well used. Hotel room was warm, but there was a fan. I think the parking price was expensive, free if you book direct but £12 a night if you book via a third party, just felt the price was expensive. And for transparency it should be clearer or just included in the room
price, rather than an add on.
Great location swimming pool was lovely
Could hear people in the next room
Beds very uncomfortable
The staff were amazing and were happy to help with any thing, they even posted a letter for me. The pool was nice, good temperature and nice and quite. It was in the perfect location for attending the BIC.
Unfortunately due to on going renovations the hotel was not as clean as it could have been and the riin we stayed in was in need of some tlc. Unfortunately we didn't sleep well as other guests were extremely noisy and u myself had to go out and ask them to keep it down as I had no way of contacting reception as they had removed the telephone. There was also only one twin plug socket in the while room.
Cheap, nice room
Shower wasnt hot and water pressure was terrible. Wouldnt let us have more than one key to the room of 4 of us
