good place for access to Dhuram
Pros:

no triple rooms available. We had to book two doubles.

Very tired hotel with a lot of noise from banging pipes.
Pros:

It was clean and housekeeping had done a good job. The hairdryer was good.

Cons:

There was a lot of noise from banging water pipes during the night. It is very tired. There are still ‘2m social distancing’ carpet tiles in the corridor which is simply odd. The key card did not work to start and then was very temperamental. No conditioner in the shower, only a combined hair/body wash.

Decent hotel with lovely staff
Pros:

The room was clean, and had all the standard facilities you could expect. The bathroom was nice with a strong shower pressure and they provide all towels plus shower gel in dispensers on the wall. Also, I have to say the staff were very helpful and responsive. There was an argument break out with guests above our room after midnight and they were very loud, but when I called the Reception, the staff on duty sorted it out straight away and the noise settled down.

Cons:

The "double bed" was actually 2 single beds & mattresses pushed together with a double mattress topper over the top so you do feel the split in the middle of the bed. It was also a little bit out of town center which means you'll need to drive, or get public transport to get anywhere.

First time staying in a Bannatyne hotel woll be back next week
Pros:

Good parking, staff pleasant and friendly, room clean bed really comfortable shower amazing.

Cons:

Maybe a fridge in the room?

Fabulous city break. Comfy and clean hotel.
Pros:

Lovely clean room and bathroom. Lovely big comfy bed. Staff very friendly. Plenty of on-site parking.

Cons:

Quite a way out of Durham - 45 minute walk which we didn’t mind but it did mean you couldn’t easily go back for anything so we were out for the day and took everything we needed. There is a 20-minute bus ride. Taxis around £8.

Pros:

Great staff, I felt welcome and safe!

Cons:

The spa is not connected to the hotel, it would have been nice to go directly back to my room without fetting changed. This is a small detail!
