Hotel Do Campo

Sijainti vaatii auton käyttöä. Hotellin liittymät ja ajo P-paikalle ovat jyrkät, mutta Madeiralla tyypilliset. Hotelli oli siisti ja henkilökunta oli mukavaa. Perheyritys, jossa kohtaaminen opli henkilökohtaista. Ravintolassa vain vuoropäällikkö tuntui osaavan englantia. Aamiainen oli yllättävän runsas, lähes skandinaavinen. Huoneet siivottiin joka päivä. uima-allas ja laaja aurinkoterassi mahdollistavat retkeilijälle "vapaapäivän" hotellilla. Hotelli oli valikoitunut rauhallisuutta arvostavien ihmisten majoitukseksi.

Kamer eeg gied, erg goede douche. Elke dag schone handdoeken, we hiefde ze niet op de grond achter te laten. Ontbijt ook goedF en nnier vergeten het zwembad, heerlijk na een dag stappen.

L’accueil et la disponibilité des propriétaires, les chambres spacieuses avec vue sur mer, la literie très confortable, le libre-service du petit déjeuner délicieux et la possibilité de dîner aussi en soirée, la piscine..

Sehr positiv: Lage am Hang des Ortes mit klasse Meerblick, geräumige Zimmer mit Balkon, super Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, ruhiges Hotel ohne Remmidemmi, sehr freundliches Personal und guter Service, Essen "nur" ok, Pool, Gym.
Genau der richtige Ort für Wanderer, Paare, Gruppen - aber mit Mietwagen bitte. Runter zum Strand/zur Stadt ca. 2 km, hoch sehr steil. Genügend Parkplätze und kostenlos (!). Minimarket mit ganz guter Küche 150m entfernt.
Fest steht, dass aktive Urlauber aber auch Sonnenanbeter hier genau richtig sind und recht wenig bezahlen für viel Gutes. Wer mehr Sterne braucht oder bequemer veranlagt ist, sollte wegbleiben und daran denken, dass alles ca. 700km vom Festland stattfindet. Gelassen sein und genießen!

Petit déjeuner très complet continental avec des produits locaux. Boissons chaudes au choix lyophilisées ou café en grains. Fruits frais variés tous les jours.
Hôtel localisé sur les hauteurs de Ribeira Brava, toutes les chambres sont face océan à 5 minutes en voiture des axes principaux de l'ile ( à 35' de l'aéroport). Serviettes de piscine et peignoirs de bain fournis. Parking gratuit.

Personnel top , très sympathique et efficace si le moindre soucis , petit déjeuner excellent ainsi que la literie.
L’emplacement bien pour visiter l’île en étoile.

Vista lindíssima da piscina e localização excelente a apenas 20 e poucos minutos do Funchal.
Pequeno almoço e jantar igualmente maravilhosos.
Com certeza vou recomendar e voltar novamente

La vue sur la mer

Very nice hotel, lots of amenities. Room is genuinely very lovely comfortable and quiet. The pool is just absolutely brilliant. You’ve got a choice of an outdoor cold pool and an indoor warm pool. Car parking is really easy at the hotel which I know helps a lot of tourists cause a lot of hotels have really tricky car parks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very nice and we only had dinner a few times, but it was really really good. Hotel slightly expensive prices for rooms and it’s unavailable at peak times probably because it’s such a good hotel. Special shout out to the reception lady who helped me retrieve some clothes that had fall off my balcony, thank you for your help!

We had a fantastic time in Hotel Do Campo. The location is perfect for us, with great views onto the sea and a central spot if you want to explore both the East and the West of Madeira. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and impeccably maintainted. The food, both for breakfast and a few evening meals, was varied, fresh and delicious. The staff was pleasant and extremely helpful (we had a very early flight out and they organised a pickup for us with a very kind and reliable taxi, who charged us less in the middle of the night than ubers had during the day.
Our *only* gripe is that a bus of extremely noisy and quite disrespectful spanish tourists arrived after a few days. They invaded the terrace, shouted at one another from distant rooms and this continued into the late hours. We would have liked the staff to clear them out of the terrace at the prescribed time in order to get some sleep. I know this is difficult and that others, in higher rooms might have not be bothered as much. But for us, it was a nuisance. Other than that, a very nice stay.
