Ryokan Shiojitei's hot spring baths are located a 5-minute walk away from the hotel. Please note that slippers and nightwear may not be worn outside the building.

A free shuttle is available every 30 minutes from Kintetsu Toba Station, between 08:45 to 11:45 and from 12:30 to 18:00. Reservation is not needed.

Guests arriving after 18:00 must inform the property in advance. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation. If the property is not informed, the booking may be treated as a no-show.

Guests with children must inform the property at time of booking. Please specify how many children will be staying with you and their respective ages in the special request box.

Please note that the maximum occupancy of the room includes all children and cannot be exceeded under any circumstances. For extra guests exceeding the room occupancy, guests will be asked to separate rooms and additional charges will apply. Guests may not be accommodated if there is no availability.

Guests with a dinner-inclusive reservation can chose between a French or Japanese kaiseki meal. Please notify the property directly in advance to make the reservation.

Restaurant hours are as follows:
Main Dining Seahorse - 7:00 to 10:00 (last order: 9:30), 11:30 to 14:30 (last order: 13:30), and 17:30 to 22:00 (last order: 20:30).
Mondo-misaki - 17:30 to 22:00 (last order: 20:30)
Cafe Lounge - 10:00 - 18:30 (last order: 18:00)
Library & Bar - 17:30 - 22:00

Pros:

Service was excellent and staff was very helpful. The view of the harbour and the sea from the room and lounge is unbeatable.

Cons:

The last hotel shuttle bus departs at 6pm from the Toba station, and it's kind of difficult to find a taxi after that time for travellers with large luggages. Although you could walk up to the hotel, it is uphill.

Beautiful Location Overlooking the Sea
Pros:

Gorgeous hilltop location overlooking the sea, nice views even from mountain-facing rooms. Hotel exterior and shared spaces are very modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. Toba is a cool little town, enjoyed the local izakayas. We stayed here for the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka and Toba was perfect for that, but I wish I'd booked a couple extra days to explore the area before moving on.

Cons:

Was looking forward to using onsen but it doesn't allow tattoos (hotel welcome letter: "Drunks and persons with tattoos may not enter"!), which is pretty common in Japan but changing, and an international hotel should probably update their policy. Rooms and especially bathrooms are a bit dated compared to rest of hotel.

Pros:

部屋からの展望も良く快適な時間を過ごせた。

Cons:
