It was very inconvenient to have stayed there due to many things not working and I’m disabled lucky I don’t use a wheel
Pros:

Location was in between where we needed to be for the World Baseball Classic Championship

Cons:

For one after getting our luggage load on the cart and paying for our room. The lady at the front desk said, oh ya by the way I’m sure booking let you know our elevator is out and she laughed!? No, they didn’t and I asked her are you being serious right now? She said no, but I’m only on the 2nd floor! I told her I have to climb 2 sets of stairs with all my luggage 2 stairs cases! She said ya. Only have 1 elevator and some dumb kids got stupid and broke it! I told her I have disabilities and I have to climb stairs! Again, I’m sorry she said.

Ice machine broken on our floors and had to go to 1 or 3rd floor for ice
Bed sheets were muggy wet, had to get house keeping to change our sheets!
No water pressure in shower or sink
Room smelled moldy
As well as walls feel moist in our room
The grout on the bathroom floor came off along with some tiles being loose

Very disappointed with the quality of the hotel and the price
Pros:

Close to the interstate

Cons:

As an IHG member we've come to expect a certain level of quality at Holiday Inn Express and Suites. This location did NOT hit that level. The price was incredibly high, which I'm assuming was based on demand for nearby graduations.

Pros:

The staff was friendly. The location was close to the freeway.

Cons:

The carpets were old and stained. It smelled musty. We killed two roaches in the room. The room was near the freeway so you heard all the traffic all night. (They had no other rooms) The shower was slow to drain and water pressure was low. After seeing roaches, i was definitely not going to eat at the breakfast. For what they charged it was not a positive experience.

Pros:

Easy check in. Room clean and comfortable. Staff super friendly and greeted you each time you walked into the building. 5 minutes from airport and they do offer an airport shuttle.

Im staying at different Holiday Inn Express from Houston to DFW. The room in Alvarado smelled musty and moldy. The toilet had water stained and appeared uncleaned, the carpet felt sticky and wet, the walls had stains, the water temperature got “warm” not hot, elevator was gross. This was a terrible hotel. None of the other Holiday Inn trips were like this one. I arrived around 9:30pm exhausted so slept in my clothes, woke up, brushed teeth and left the room around 6:30am. I did decide to get a cup of coffee when leaving and it was hot. None of the breakfast was out which doesn’t go out until 7am, but a half tray of cinnamon rolls were sitting under a cold lamp from what I assume the previous day. If you can choose, do not choose this hotel.

Trash. Floor tiles coming up in the bathroom pinching your feet and rocking around. Carpet sticky like cotton candy. Toilet wouldnt flush. No dresser for my clothing. Hot tub shut.down and boarded up. Juice machine at breakfast out of order. So if the room is trash....the spa area is trash and the breakfast experience is trash...im going to rate the overall experience as trash. Supet disappointed with the mosy expensive hotel in town.

Pros:

The carpets are not very clean it had a musty smell and the elevator was not very clean companies have contracts with this hotel therefore are very many contractors which give it that commercial flare, my room had a musty and pee smell in a corner figured it was a dogs pee smell being its pet friendly but I had to go and get a room freshener to get the room to smell am lil better its ok i guess and semi decent i have to say the bed was comfy but the hotel is a lil old i guess and then being that contractors go in and out from work makes a lil run down.
