Cosy welcoming spot in remote Kintyre.
Pros:

Lovely location in remote Kintyre. Rhona was very friendly and accommodating, whether it be for breakfast, dinner, or general helpfulness and making us feel at home. Always a warm fire waiting in the evenings when it was cold and wet outside. Recently decorated rooms comfortable rooms.

Very disappointed - it could have been so much better.
Pros:

The Hotel is in an excellent location and should be a wonderful experience to stay there. Bedrooms are large and quite well equipped. The Bar and eating area is reasonable.

Cons:

The hotel is quite run down and the photos are obviously taken from a few years ago. The Bath / Shower lacks grab handles and a bath mat making it a danger to any elderly or infirm person. Lighting in the bedroom is insufficient for reading. We asked for clean towels after three days and were only given two instead of four, one bath towel being still very damp. There was a problem with the water supply but nothing was done to alleviate this such as lighting the fire downstairs to warm that area. The team running it seemed to be quite overwhelmed even though there were very few guests.

Ok for very inexpensive stay.
Pros:

Hotel had spacious & clean rooms. Nice temperature and Windows were secure to keep heat in. Room was pleasant and had nice furniture.

Cons:

Televisions didn't appear to work in my room or another couples room I could hear complaining. We did not complain as we didn't feel it was too much of an issue and thought the weather had affected the signal. We arrived by bus later and the hotel didn't serve dinner to anyone past 7.30pm. Nowhere locally walking distance to get food and no microwave in room to make ready meal. Room did have a kettle and cup, tea bags ect. You also MUST order your meal before 2pm each day if you want to eat in hotel, you cannot arrive,after 2,view menu and order. Toilet system seems to make noise or have air stuck in pipes which cleared after running taps and shower.

I would stay there again the staff were really friendly and made us and the dogs very welcome.nothing wasa problem

The staff were great. Room was comfortable. bed was fabulous. Dogs were made really welcome. And for all of us that’s really important to us.

Cons:

The bathroom could have done with an update. And the grounds and carpark could have been a little bit better maintained apart from that it was great.

Comfortable, good food, obliging staff.
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent, though not included in the price. Location was good. Helpful and friendly staff who are coping with tradespeople problems. A lot of the work is done by the owners.

Cons:

The gardens needed attention. The room wasn't serviced- a minor problem for our 2 night stay.

Lovely whisper quiet break
Pros:

Very quiet and peaceful location. Super friendly staff. Much of the hotel is being renovated but our rooms and the dining area/ lounge were excellent.

Cons:

The ongoing renovations mean a lot of the hotel is not available and from the outside looks really run down and tired. Once inside the experience is much brighter and positive. Super rooms, super quiet, super friendly hosts.

Nice people, good value for money, delicious food and pretty location.
Pros:

We skipped breakfast to play golf. The first tee is only twenty yards from the hotel car park.
