Very personable & welcoming staff. Great room with nice firm bed and strong shower. Wonderful dining room with great view and delicious breakfast. Lovely pool area. Nice location walking distance along river and over the bridge to the walled city.

The room was spacious and clean; the breakfast was generous and with variety and the staff at the breakfast room were all extremely helpful to keep the guests all seated and happy during the busy morning hours. I had a pleasant stay.

We spent three nights at the Mondial Hotel in Huế, and from arrival to departure our experience was excellent.
On arrival, the duty manager checked us in, explained everything clearly, and ensured that the four of us were all accommodated together on the sixth floor. It was a great start to our stay.
The restaurant and bar are located on the ninth floor, and on our first evening we headed up for a few drinks before asking the team where they would recommend for dinner. Rather than simply pointing us in the right direction, Kim, one of the staff members, went above and beyond. She recommended a local restaurant about 500 metres away. When we couldn’t get through by phone, she walked us there herself—in her uniform and high heels—to make sure we found it. The restaurant was full of locals, with very few tourists, which was exactly the sort of authentic experience we enjoy. The food was outstanding, and Kim even found someone who spoke English to help us order.
That level of service continued throughout our stay. Later that evening, as Kim was leaving for home, I asked if it was possible to buy a couple of cans of Diet Coke. Without hesitation, she went back inside, found some for me, and made sure I was looked after. Over the following days she continued to provide the same warm, attentive service whenever we saw her in the restaurant.
Breakfast each morning was first class, with an excellent selection of both Asian and international dishes. There was a fresh egg station, and authentic Vietnamese pho was served daily.
Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The laundry service was exceptional—clothes placed in the basket in the morning were returned that afternoon, freshly laundered, neatly folded and wrapped in plastic.
The hotel itself is perhaps showing its age a little. Some fresh paint and new carpet would give it a lift, but it is clean, well maintained and very comfortable. Any minor signs of age are completely overshadowed by the outstanding service provided by the staff.
Every member of the team deserves recognition—from reception, housekeeping and laundry, to the restaurant and bar staff, and the gentlemen on the lobby door. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome.
When our airport taxi was running an hour late on departure, the gentleman on the lobby door repeatedly contacted the taxi company on our behalf until it arrived. He was fantastic, just as every other member of the team had been throughout our stay.
The hotel also has a lovely swimming pool, perfect for cooling off after a day exploring the wonderful city of Huế.
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Huế, I would happily recommend the Mondial Hotel. The facilities are very good, but what truly sets this hotel apart is its people. Their warmth, kindness and genuine hospitality made our stay memorable, and I would have absolutely no hesitation staying here again on my next visit.
