A comfortable, convenient stay, with friendly staff & good breakfast.
Pros:

Great history - lots of character. Convenient on A25. Comfortable, good-sized room. Friendly staff. Good food.

Cons:

Had to boil kettle on floor; socket was loose at wall. One bedside light not working - old plug had round pins, but no suitable socket! Easy to bang head in bathroom due to quirky layout. There was some (expected) traffic noise.

Our stay was made so much easier as the staff were exceptionally kind & helpful.
Pros:

The staff were exceptional. Brian the owner was very helpful & kind. The chef was very kind & served us with a smile. Breakfast was very good.

Cons:

A fan in the bedroom would’ve been very welcome as it was very hot. Plus the automatic light in the bathroom was very bright. 🙂

Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff, would stay again
Pros:

The location was excellent, just what we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the meals excellent. We have known this hotel for many years, in bad times, really bad times and now, after a major renovation, in excellent times. The building has been transformed and is now most welcoming and beautifully decorated. If anything even more should be done to inform guests of the building's amazing history. The hotel was transformed for us for a major ,50+, private lunch party which was quite excellent. We stayed two nights and would recommend this hotel to anyone requiring accommodation in the Bletchingley/Reigate area.

Cons:

We have stayed in many hotels over the years so are able to identify areas we would like to see improvement. We found the room we had was really too small for a couple and with only one chair rather tedious to relax in. In addition, although there were several power point sockets in the room there were none located adjacent to the only "table" in the room for ease of charging mobile phones, laptops etc. Even the kettle power point was at floor level.

This 800 yr old inn is filled with charm and the service and food is exceptional
Pros:

Brian stayed up despite the flight being delayed by about four hours due to storms in Dublin. As a result, I arrived here well after 1 am and they welcomed me warmly even helping to carry luggage upstairs AND entertained my request for a specific room, which I had chosen due to the charm of it

Cons:

NOTHING
