History of building
Poor on details. Kettle lead didn’t reach socket. Duvet cover much too small for duvet. Duvet was on bed wrong way.
Excellent. Good choice of food and very generous helpings.
Nothing everything was just fine.
Great location, very friendly staff
Nothing
Lovely room. Clean and tidy, staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful
It was hot (stayed during heat wave) no a/c but I don’t think ac was considered why the building was built 300 years ago! But the beer was cold and served with a smile
The light in the bath room turned off quickly - fed this back on check out to pass on to management
Amazing Staff, Beautiful Hotel and pub in a quaint village
Overall experience was great, wasn’t anything we didn’t like
Great place lovely helpful staff good food and for me a great place to stay so I could attend a wedding event at godston.
Staff
Great location well presented
Room a little small for the price
Lovely quaint inn with wooden beams.
Room quite hot.
Very nice, excellent staff, clean comfortable room.
Breakfast and evening meals were good. Friendly and helpful staff.
We chose quiz night to stay in the pub. Bad idea and no prior warning. V noisy everywhere downstairs for guests staying who didn't want to join in. V noisy from.the pub in our room until 10.45.
I realise it's a tricky balance for publicans between attracting drinkers to the pub and their paying guests expecting a quiet comfortable stop over but here the paying guests either joined in or lumped it. Nowhere quiet to go.
Location & quality of breakfast
Room rate for size of room was rather expensive.
The staff are friendly and spent time talking to me which was appreciated when you travel alone. The food was 10/10. The rooms was decorated lovely and had everything you would need
There was no hot water when I arrived and was assured it would be hot in the morning, it wasnt even barley warm. Also breakfast isn't severed until 8am which isn't ideal when on work commitments, hich meant I left without breakfast
The pub was cosy and had a good feel. The bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast was tasty. The team were lovely, helpful and friendly. We booked this place because it was close to the venue we were attending in the evening.
We were surprised by the size of the room. It was very small in comparison to what we were expecting from the booking pictures. Only one hanger and when asked for more was given 2, which ended up with one going to my friends in another room! Had an internal drain pipe in the bedroom! 🤔
Pleasant bar.
Bedroom was far too small. Not good value for money.
Breakfast was not very good.
