This is a fantastic hotel, full of character, and very 'Brighton'. All the rooms are individually decorated. I was in the Ali room, stuffed full of Ali memorabilia. When I arrived there was a music festival going on in the hotel bar, which was an extra bonus. All the staff were really friendly and helpful.
The rooms are quite basic, but that's part of the charm. If you want luxury, this may not be the place for you. If you want character, this palce has loads of it. My only very minor negative would be it was quite cold in my room at night, so an extra blanket somewhere would have been perfect.
I stayed here for a marathon weekend and there were definitely some positives. My room was bright, spacious, and nicely presented. The shower was good, the toiletries were a nice, and bed comfortable.
The hotel is obviously quirky, though it’s quite dark in places and that won’t suit everyone. There are a lot of narrow stairs throughout depending on what floor your room is on, but the small single‑person lift does help if you’re travelling with luggage.
What really didn’t work for me was the breakfast setup. I had booked bed and breakfast, but breakfast at the weekend is in a one‑hour window which was too late for anyone taking part in, or supporting, the marathon. Given the event passes by the hotel, it felt like a real oversight. Staff did put out protein bars and later brought bananas, but given purpose of the stay it didn’t hit the mark not when you had been dreaming of a full english and paid for it.
Excellent stay
Beautifully curated, expert local knowledge and insider tips for things to do
Marko and the team were all FANTASTIC!!
Quirky property with lots of surprises around every corner.
Beautiful position, right near the beach.
Nothing!
Absolutely amazing quirky hotel packed with fun and personality in every inch! So much attention detail in the many themed rooms. Stayed with my mum for my 40th and had the DollyWould room and it was just perfect. The team are so kind and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Super location, very central and a stones throw from the beach. We had a lovely quiet sea view. Everywhere was impeccably clean. Great value and even better value if you book direct. Great choice of cocktails etc at the bar and great decor!
Great staff and rooms
This is one of the funkiest place I’ve ever been. The interior of each room so amazing - the breakfast vegan choice was really delicious and the staff were so friendly and warm.
Beliggenheten
Skjeve gulv, brannsikkerhet, hotell for spesielle gjester. Dette er ikke et 4 stjerners hotell
Perfect seafront location, quirkiness of the decor, friendly and helpful staff going above and beyond and the fantastic breakfast which was another level!.
Some of the decor in the room was a bit tired - mainly the ceiling where there’d been a leak at some point and it had been replastered, but the room was clean and the tiredness of the decor only added to the quirkiness!
Our second weekend stay at the Pelirocco. We love it! They treat you like family. The rooms are themed, quirky, and comfortable and the location couldn’t be better! Tip: If you book directly breakfast is included. Thank you Mark and Co!
Great location
Staff helpful
Room too small and sun on it all day it was like an oven even with curtains closed
Spent 3 nights in the Dolly Would Room with my sister. Great central location, quirky decor and very friendly staff. Sea view which was a huge bonus.
3rd floor so lift was an absolute must after trawling round Brighton all day.
No bathroom door (half saloon doors) and quite small bathroom so you're going need to be prepared to sing at certain times! Luckily we're not bashful!
The shower was amazing though, really surprised at the water pressure which was fierce.
Bar seemed very reasonably priced.
Parts of the hotel are looking a bit tired in places but its so quirky with something to look at e very turn, its not too much of a spoiler.
