Hotel Lakeview

The property is good, there are separate cottages, in a nice location. The service though can be improved.

Friendly reception.. Timely service.. Comfort stay.. Clean rooms..
They even Specially arranged a cake at request, had camp fire which was amazing...
The only thing we are sad at was the view -- no proper view of nature from the property.. Only the ground level rooms are able to get a lake view - which is also not so great..

Everything was good, only problem we had was everything was charged really high. One night we decided to parcel our dinner from out and we asked for 3 plates their answer was since we took our dinner from out they can't give us plates instead they gave us really bad disposal plates that were charged at ₹10 . It's not the amount but where our bill came to 10,000 for everything , how can you do this to your guests.

Definitely not worth the amount of money spent on the cottage. Very next day the lights went off and there was a leak in the wash basin drain pipe. Food was average and costs you more. What's worth is the view of the lake in front of the cottage.

It was an excellent stay at the hotel with very good ambience. The rooms were neat & tidy and well maintained. The room service was awesome and they got all the items ordered very quickly. The climate was excellent and the spot of the hotel was very good. Overall wonderful experience and would recommend this to all.
Only thing they could be improved is to have a golf cart or internal vehicle for going to the rooms because it will be difficult for old people to climb the steps.

Excellent cottages and villas with patio and lake view

Cons:
Hotel needs to improve its service quality. whenever we asked for paid service it was done immediately but delay is all unpaid services like filling up water, repair work etc. Also room heater should be added in each room during winter without any extra charges.

VERY GOOD

Room Heater was charged separately, as the room did not hv a fan or AC, heater should hv been a part of the amenities and not charged for in addition . Taps did not have hot water,being winter with low temperatures Lukewarm water was least expected.

I have stayed for 2 nights with my family. Hotel is located at outside from city and in actual there is no 'Lake View' from hotel. No nearby hotels or shops. Only good thing is excellent surrounding area and cottages.

Food quality was average and less options for breakfast. Better to choose hotel nearby city.

Room is very good, but Little pricey, All Food item is too pricy, We feel the being has some bad smell, which uneasy while sleeping

1.Would be appreciate if the room cleaned on everyday basis. Room was not cleaned by house keeping since from check in till check out. It was cleaned while check in.

2. Last but not the least.. you should run a lounge bar inside the hotel.

Hotels in Ooty charge a lot compared to other locations. There is no value for money.

This is my second visit to same hotel. It was wonderful experience both the times. If you are checking in early inform the staff well in advance the timings of check in and if ur checking out late you have to pay rs.300 for extra 3 hours and 1 day amount if more than that. Beware of money oriented travel desk people. I went by srs travels and in ooty they have site seeing options too of cab. If you want well mannered cab driver ask for sreedhar he was the guy who was very good and not money oriented.

Pros -Its a nice place to stay connected to nature, even being in the city. Cottages are good and you can spend your whole day with tea, newspaper and chair watching the scenery around your balcony.

Cons - Charging extra for everything you ask makes little discomfort talking to them.

Suggestion - Enjoy dinner at restaurant and go out for breakfast. 150 bucks is not worth you spend for breakfast you get.

1.Check in at 1PM .............this is the first hotel where I experienced such a late check in time.
Generally hotels allow check in by 10AM or 11AM.
They took almost 30 minutes to complete the initial processing at the reception and another 30 minutes to clean the rooms before handing over the same to us.
Their checkout is at 11AM. I am wondering what they were doing during those two hours instead of making arrangements to clean the room and have it ready by 1PM.
I wouldn't have been bothered by the delay had I been with my friends but I was accompanied by my friend who had his one year old daughter.

2.Their morning buffet breakfast was terrible. The worst part of this is that they charged 150 per head for such a breakfast. There was no variety as well as the food was not hot. The upma that they had was the worst that I had eaten anywhere. When we took up the issue with the concerned people we did not get a proper response. They informed us that some of the guests liked the same breakfast very much.

It was a wonderful experiance staying at LAKEVIEW, definitely recommended to everyone.
