Very pleasant stay but recommend eating out rather than in the hotel restaurant
Pros:

Lovely hotel - large and comfortable room and lovely spa. Staff were all very friendly.

Sadly the restaurant let the standard of the hotel down.

Warners look alike
Pros:

Breakfast is great, booked to order, (if not many people in ). Help yourself tea, coffee, cereals, etc.

Cons:

If you want a walk in shower, be prepared for a disabled shower and low toilet and sink. On the ground floor, plus side is you have a rear entrance to the outdoor pool, spa

As a one night stay it’s ok but not amazing
Pros:

Location is ok , but hotel
Is just shabby and unloved and needs investment and an upgrade is really required
It could be great but just isn’t
But you sort of get what you pay for these days
Bonus for
Me is the rapid EV charging in car park from 3rd party company

Cons:

Decor is awful , nothing matches everything is at end of life , every painted corner in common areas is chipped or worn
No Netflix or prime on old outdated TVs rooms are comfortable but need updating
Breakfast was bear minimum, it could do with some very easy fixes and updates ,
It’s a sort of funny place , a list of meals in room for room service but no phone in room to call room service lol

Pros:

Nice location, peaceful. Friendly staff. Good breakfast though less impressive on the Sunday.

Cons:

Spa pool was very cold. Gym is underwhelming, some machines broken. Room small. Pillows uncomfy! Very hot. A lot of money for what is there.

Great weekend couple break
Pros:

The Hotel is in a good location, very quiet area with nice interiors and spacious rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful- we had a great welcome at the reception and general nice experience during our stay. Spa facilities were included in the price which was an extra bonus, the facilities are superb with a pool , hot tub, 3 different saunas and a well-equipped gym.
A local pub is only 5-min walk but there is a hotel bar and a lovely sitting area available, the garden is spacious and very peaceful especially on a sunny day. We are already thinking about coming back.

Cons:

Breakfast was unfortunately not up to a standard. Not much to choose from, it was cold and the containers were empty most of the time even though it wasn't busy. Only filtered coffee available, tasted more like water rather than a good coffee. I am happy it was included in our stay rate as it is not worth any money otherwise. There is a lot to improve here.

Pros:

The room was delightful and extremely comfortable, had everything you needed. The spa was amazing, especially after 3 days hiking! Just what the body needed. Breakfast was really good, but no real thought for Vegans as one of our party was a vegan.

Cons:

Definitely need to look at food both in the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast as the vegan option was really really poor.

Pros:

Room was basic but the bed was very comfortable

Cons:

Breakfast was not great, it was very basic. The hot food wasn't hot, bacon was undercooked, scrambled egg was like it had come out of tin.

Pros:

This is no longer Ballantyne and has become rather tired and in need of some tlc. But we enjoyed our stay which was comfortable. Food was good though few vegan options.

Cons:

Quite a lot in need of repair in the spa area.
