Construction was going on. Workers had one elevator shut down during the day, but were riding in the operable one, making it crowded for patrons
Location is amazing, also walking distance from Penn train Station and metro station. From my room I could see the empire state building!
Room was on the small side but functional. It was not very soundproof, I could hear people talking in the hallway.
It was clean & beautiful

THIS HOTEL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND THERE IS EXTREMELY LOUD DISRUPTIVE NOISE BEGINNING AT 9AM.
Clean good location
They were working on facilities. Remodeling at the moment of my stay
Unfortunately, this stay was disappointing.
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and that had a noticeable impact on the experience. There was a large dumpster placed right in front of the lobby entrance, which didn’t create the best first impression when arriving.
During the daytime, one of the elevators was frequently unavailable because construction workers were using it to move equipment and materials. With only one elevator operating for guests, it often took a very long time to go up or down.
The overall attitude at the front desk also didn’t feel very welcoming. The staff seemed disengaged, and the late-night front desk employee had a very “don’t bother me” kind of attitude.
The room itself was decent in size, and the bathroom was acceptable, but you could clearly see signs of age — especially the bathroom door and some fixtures that could use updating.
Breakfast was another frustrating experience. The breakfast room had only one staff member working, and the kitchen took nearly 20 minutes just to prepare an avocado toast. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst avocado toasts I’ve had.
Between the construction, elevator delays, indifferent service, and underwhelming breakfast, the stay didn’t live up to expectations. There are several other Hyatt properties in New York, and I would recommend considering one of those instead.
Staff were mostly very nice, the room was exceptionally clean and I had fresh bottle of water and towels each day.
1. The "higher floor" paid option is actually 6 and 7th floor out of approx. 18, so the name is misleading, it's definitely higher than ie. 2nd floor, but that should be stated when booking.
2. There are works in hotel, nice for you that you're renovating but you should have informed me so I can stay elsewhere or not charge the full price.
3. The heating furnace is very loud, I mean extremely loud and I stayed when it was cold so I had to run it all of the time.
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
Good location, clean, nice staff at restaurant.
Horrible front desk staff and management. They had construction going, and on Sunday morning I was woken up around 8-9 in the morning by hammering and drilling all around me. It was terrible. I have Audio recordings of the sounds. No one warned me about it. No emails, no information in the confirmation messages, no mention of it by the front desk employee who checked me in when I arrived at night. The staff told me that a placard at the front desk said there is construction and I could have cancelled at check in! How absurd?!? They engaged in false advertising and then when I brought the issue up to them they totally ignored me, they offered a paltry $40ish dollar discount of destination fees. That’s it?
We paid approximately $1,400 for three nights in NYC to celebrate my daughter’s 19th birthday, but our stay was disrupted by loud construction directly above our room.
We booked through Booking.com and were not informed in advance. Although posted hours stated 9 a.m.–4/5 p.m., the loud banging continued past the stated time and we were awakened by noise the next morning. Despite notifying the front desk, we were not offered a room change or compensation. Very disappointing given the cost.
Very good location and staff were helpful and kind.
There were important renovations in the hotel that were no reported at the time of the reservation (neither via Booking or mail), uncomfortable noises and limited used of elevators.
It's close to most of the touristic places. Fairly clean
The hotel is getting old you can see in the room. They had work to renew the rooms of the fist floors (it is needed) but they did not told us before we arrived
Very clean nice staff & beautiful hotel
