The Fairway Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort

What an amazing stay, everything was just perfect on our anniversary!!! They do know exactly HOW to set a mood and go all out of their way!! Even staff wished us a happy anniversary. Attention to detail, just wonderful! We will be back next year for sure!

Fairway hotel is a beautiful facility; the staff is the best. There is nothing that you don't ask for that they don't provide.

Excellent find , we just needed a break after an 11 hour flight.
2 x golf courses on site which were excellent.

Spa experience. An underwhelming, overpriced experience. When asked if drinks were available, we were told: not to my knowledge. The treatment itself was mediocre, held in a small airless room that just about accommodated the 4 people in there.

Great place for golf visit. beautiful facilities and amenities. friendly staff all round. prestine golf course.

Had a great stay at the Fairway, great location, great staff, great bar area over looking the golf course, nice rooms, if I make it back to South Africa I won't look for any other hotels to stay at, the Fairway will be my immediate choice.

Even though my stay was short, I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent at the Fairview. Everything was clean and pleasing to the eye. From the minute I entered the gate, I was greeted with friendly smiles. The reception team, restaurant and bar staff as well as the cleaning staff was not only welcoming and friendly, but also accommodating.

We have stayed at the hotel a few times and it is starting to look very sad. The maintenance of the rooms is sorely lacking. This detracts from the beautiful location on a golf course and the extremely efficient and friendly service of the staff.

Friendly welcome and wonderful room with a massive bed and delightful view over the golf course. The restaurant was great, would recommend.

The only minor letdown was the shower, which needs a replacement shower head, and the plumbing could use some maintenance.

On the surface this hotel looks great, all you could need for a short stay. However, look a little deeper and there are problems. poor food in the restaurant, often cold at breakfast, not great at dinner. The rooms are nice, but too much doesn't work is broken or is missing, lack of checks and maintenance stand out. This all comes down to poor management I'm afraid. Everything we pointed out and asked for was either dealt with or delivered, but it shouldn't need to be asked for, it should simply be there, that is poor management. Use the Golf club it is is far better than the hotel bar or restaurant.

Birthday solo staycation.I needed some time out without travelling far for my birthday. Got some good body treatments and a yummy dinner. Loved my room.

We stayed here for the third time. Staff recognized us, were very friendly and professional. Good breakfast! Location is great at golf course. Gym and spa could use an ‘upgrade’ but gym equipment is good.

From arrival to departure I was treated like a VIP. Fairway Hotel would not be what it is without its staff. Exceptionally clean. Fantastic facilities with a pool right outside your room. Definitely recommended.

Slightly dated but good location. Convenient to malls and great golf. Showers need a deep clean but were hot and plenty of pressure. Great breakfast

I stayed for a month visiting family around JHB
Next time I come to The Fairways again ,would be nice to see a refurbished hotel including the rooms.

1. On our first night, it was noted that the bed linen cover was stained yellow and was brought to the attention of reception. This is unhygienic and unacceptable and should have not occurred should there have been adequate quality checks in place by the hotel staff.
2. There were no blankets in the rooms at all. This is in peak winter season. I raised the issue at reception, and was told that no blankets are available since all have been requested by the guests. I was assured that it would be addressed. We stayed there for 4 nights and checked out, to date still have not received a follow up call about the non-availability of blankets. Really pathetic standard of service.
3. There was water from the show cubicle entering into toilet area. I raised concern about possible safety hazard with the room staff, and to date no follow up call from the hotel staff or management.

In summary, a rather deflating experience, given the cost of the hotel accommodation, one would expect much higher standards. Disappointed.

I had a wonderful stay me and my colleagues, during our visit there for 5 days. the hotel is elagant, neat and so welcoming,with friendly hard working staff, right from the gate, to the reception and to the restaurant.
