The room and facilities were excellent, the staff were amazing people, nothing was too much trouble, extremely helpful and very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we weren’t overly pleased with the breakfast, no choice of toast it was white bread, we are both diabetic and would rather have had wholemeal, and the cups were tea stained, even after asking for a clean cup the replacement was also dirty. I didn’t complain as the staff were so helpful that I didn’t want to upset anyone, they clearly worked extremely hard and well together. This wouldn’t put us off returning, it’s a beautiful hotel in lovely settings.
The cooked breakfast, the toast , no choice of bread and it was cold. It was advertised as full English breakfast, which clearly wasn’t, ours consisted of bacon, sausage, beans, mushroom and fried egg, there was no choice of poached or scrambled eggs, no hash brown, or black pudding. Having worked in catering I pick up on the little things that most people don’t, call me picky but these little things are the things that make things acceptable.
Convienient for Beamish Museum. Nice restaurant.
Bit too hot in the room at night.
The lovely view from the restaurant
Breakfast good ...nice staff
Room obviously had animals in before us ...so for me wasn't good as suffer asthma....bed not comfortable
We found the hotel rooms, roomy and comfortable.
Loved location. Staff were superb.
The heat was unavoidable. Drink prices need to be displayed.
Good location with plenty of free parking.
Breakfast was delicious.
Evening meal was freshly prepared 😋
No plug sockets by the bed....important to us as one of us requires medical equipment overnight so borrowed an extension lead which we had to run all round the room.
We found it a bit odd that we had to walk through a wedding set up area to access the part of the hotel where our room was!
Lovely place and staff were all amazing. Food was incredible and reasonably priced. Location excellent for Beamish Museum. Can highly recommend.
Nothing!

Lovely location, nice modern hotel, the room was very spacious, large comfy bed, plenty of storage space, bath and shower in bathroom
We decided not to have breakfast here as we thought it was expensive, so didn't try the restaurant or bar areas

We called in here a month ago after a drive around the area. The staff were so quick to attend to us and the meals we ordered were so delicious we just had to go back and eat there again. So glad we did. Eva and Liam were our servers this time and were very attentive towards us. Once again, our meals were as delightful as the last time. It really is a very pleasant place to visit and the staff go all out to ensure you have a wonderful experience. We certainly recommend you give it a try - you won't be disappointed.
