The staff are always welcoming. This is why we keep returning.
The staff at Beamish Hotel went above amd beyond for us - we couldn't have asked for more. Lovely stay will definitely stay again.
Friendly staff , comfortable rooms and a lovely breakfast
Nothing all great
Room was nice
Breakfast was easy to sort out in the morning
Breakfast was also good value for money
The staff all seemed very friendly and eager to help as much as they could
Check-in took a while as there was only one person on the desk completing the check ins, coupled with the fact they seemed to be taking bookings for the golf course as well, whcih delayed things, maybe have one section for Hotel check-in and another for golf
Basic but good quality breakfast, would have loved some extra items such as hash browns and black pudding
No lift which was a problem as put upstairs, 2 flights right at the back of the hotel. Not your fault but my wife has 1 lung and COPD. Unfortunately hottest day of the year over 30 degrees, told on a leaflet air con there was none not even a fan it was unbearable. My wife took a shower only to walk out to find some bloke up a ladder at the window. Painting or cleaning I don’t know but certainly not acceptable.we had to get out of the room it was unbearable. We went to reception to see if we could get fans in our 2 booked rooms and told they would be sent up. Eventually 1 came so we had nothing in our room gave the one to rest of Family.
Went to book a table for evening meal when we were told a wedding party is coming in so we would have to wait till 7:30 and seriously how loud would a wedding party become they would then fill the bar. We went out in the car, pub over road derelict, great start. Spent 2 hours at Beamish too hot to spend longer. Had a drink in the hotel bar £13:85 for a pint and a half of lager and a glass of lemonade ok it’s a hotel but really.
Same drinks at home £9:25. Decided as it would surely get rowdy and a room we could never sleep in we left.
No one on reception so just left room cards. Yes we could have asked for another room but this was our 49th wedding anniversary and did not want the hassle. So no the heat was over the top but you really need to do more, all rooms should have air con now with hotter summers and on arrival we could have been asked will upstairs be a problem.
Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Some small imperfections in the bathroom but nothing too much to complain about just a little tired.
Limited menu for my taste.
Fantastic Hotel, beautiful clean rooms, nice staff, fabulous Breakfast and Dinner, good Parking.
Golf Course in Hotel grounds.
Close to Beamish Living Museum
We highly recommend The Beamish Hotel and will be coming back.

Noisy sink taps
Very clean and tidy room. Lovely and warm and very comfortable bed.
We booked in for New years Eve for a meal and a disco. Our meal was booked for eight pm and we took our seats on time. After waiting for an hour and a quarter we had to ask where our first course was. After almost another hour we had to ask where our main course was. It eventually came at 10.20. We decided not to have the desert as did not want to wait any longer. The disco had already been underway for almost 2 hours but there was nobody up dancing or any atmosphere. We welcomed in the new year and left immediately very disappointed with our evening. The food , when it eventually came was very good and we were given a free round of drinks for the delay but our overall experience was poor.
We visited for Sunday Lunch and had the lamb. It was lovely, perfectly cooked and tasty and the veg was nice too. The cauliflower cheese was delicious and the Yorkshires were home made. Service could have been a bit more attentive but it was ok. Next time we visit I will request to sit in the main room as we were in the conservatory/garden room and when the heating came on it was very noisy. It was a nice visit tho and Santa going round the tables was a nice Christmassy touch.
