Excellent
Pros:

The whole experience at the hotel was excellent from checking in to checking out. The staff were lovely and made you feel welcomed. Both breakfast and evening meals were excellent.

A hidden Gem

Disappointing
Pros:

Near Beamish where we wanted to go. Car near room.

Cons:

Tired bedroom that was always in the dark because of trees. Wasn't informed about dog being charged £15 pet night until arrival. Because of having a dog, was shunned the dining room & was put in bar for breakfast. Our dog is quiet and lies under the table. No real area for dog walking . Chose this hotel because it said dog friendly.

Very dog friendly
Pros:

Very dog friendly with the room having patio doors onto our car and car park, so easy to let the dog out safely. Fantastic staff, especially the breakfast ladies.

Fabulous staff on reception helped move our room to one with aircon at short notice which were very happy about
