In order to complete the online self check-in process, each guest is required to provide Identification before arrival. If you choose not to provide your ID before arrival, you may not use the online self check-in. A check in fee of POUND 25 will apply. To ensure the safety, security, and registration of all guests, an insurance fee is required of four pounds and ninety seven pence per guest.
This nonrefundable fee is for the pre-authorization on the card provided prior to the check in, covering any incidental charges, smoking violations detected or unsettled payments at check-out. Please note early check in or late check out are only possible at a surcharge. If you haven’t completed the online check in by 18:00PM costs POUND 25 to check in after 18:00PM. A surcharge fee of POUND 49 applies for arrivals after check-in hours.
All requests for late arrival are subject to confirmation by the property. The property will only accommodate the number of guests specified in the booking confirmation. A surcharge of POUND 35 per person per night applies for each additional guest you wish to add to your reservation. Additional unregistered guests are not allowed at the property.
Smoking anywhere on site or out of any window, or covering the fire alarm is strictly prohibited. Violating this policy will result in an additional fee of POUND 200. Your reservation will be immediately terminated and will remain nonrefundable.

The bed was somewhat passable for comfortable if you weren't too busy being roasted in your own room with no ventilation system as the windows shut with nothing to hold them! Only thing convinent was how everything was local and beach just up front.
Where do I start!!!! From the millionth stairway to hell, to cupboard shoebox size private bathroom to the overall cleanliness of the room. What began with the worst check in ever, mind you I thought it was a scam when the guy was meant to gove our confirmation number in to us upon 4pm check in arrival. No staff nothing, cant get ahold of anyon3 remotely human. What I did I had to call booking.com themselves, and a lovely lady was kind enough to tell me if the owner does not reply back she can refund and change us elsewhere free of charge. After an hour later waiting around the owner replies back with the most half hearted reply like no remorse in being this late. Now the bathroom is the size of a shoebox with no vents barely working, the tiling was covered in some black paint almost peeling off so when youre going in there wear shoes!!!! And we wore sliders into the shower because that thing has seen better days. Absolutely terrifying stay.

Nothing went well. I was unable to access my room. Thankfully a friend put me up in his house in the end otherwise I would have nowhere to stay that night.
The process of getting a code to access the hotel and room. No human assistance. I was told by someone already staying there that it took him an hour to check in and the text communication was with an AI bot.
I take most of the responsibility because when I booked a room on booking.com, I assumed the hotel would be much the same as all the other hotels I have booked on the site, where you turn up at the hotel, you find a human there who hands you a key to a room. So I didn't pay much attention to an email from booking.com just after I booked the room. I also got a whatsapp message from the Hotel about checking in. Again I assumed it was just the usual routine message you get when you book a hotel from booking.com. I had never heard of online check in before. There is a lesson learnt there. Read all the communication you get and don't assume it will all be routine.
However, I don't like the idea of having to upload a photo of my driving licence or passport to an entity that can't even provide a human to speak to. Could be anyone ending up with that personal stuff. I don't have to show my driving licence or passport normally when I turn up at a hotel, unless it is abroad. I was very disappointed in the end with the whole experience. I was at the door of the hotel three times that day but couldn't get to speak to a human working at the hotel to sort out the problem. Text exchanges weren't that helpful either and as I said, someone said it was an AI bot texting.
So I didnt get to stay at the hotel and wasted my money. It spoilt much of my day. We live and learn.
Some may like this online check in process but it's not for me, so I will not use this hotel again nor any similar hotel with this kind of process.
That was a horrible place, looks far different from what is shown on the pictures!
It’s like a box! It’s unclean, bulbs were not working, neighbours loud and generally looked unsafe
Scam they are doing scam asking extra money when u check in
Read the reviews on this property it is a scam you pay through booking.com then they contact you through what's app asking for more money plus a photo id passport or driving licence we walked down Charlotte st there was no sign blue Skye guest house none of the neighbours knew nothing of blue Skye booking .com you should be discusted at yourselfs for still taking bookings for this property and take it down I have been into my dad's bank and they have been in contact with the fraud team and I'm asking for a full refund I didn't stay at the property and thank god I cancelled
