Fabulous Hotel, very relaxing.
Stunning vista
Too far out of town
Didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment. Room was beautiful and location amazing.
Due to nature of property some mod cons like air con very much missed! Windows open but farmland right next to hotel using a muck spreader whilst there made it better to be too hot.
Beautiful historic building, comfortable beds, very handy for visiting Antsy Park. Great food in the restaurant.
Rooms are looking a little tired and creaky
We stayed a few times it’s a beautiful place this time was very different
The room wasn’t clean handles missing no milk and tge bed was so uncomfortable
We stayed 2 nights the second being our 45th wedding anniversary. I just mentioned this in passing when booking a table in the restaurant. When we arrived we were presented with a card and on the night of our anniversary were greated with a happy anniversary and after our meal were presented with a plate with sweets and happy anniversary written on it in chocolate which was a lovely touch.
Everything
Unique building and setting plus value for money
Nothing
Very historic hotel - good breakfast - quiet
No cold water in the shower which made it impossible to have a wash - the water was scalding hot
Love the whole estate
Food was amazing, stunning views
Friendly staff
Room was very hot, we turned the heating down but after a while it came back on again.
Harry Potter feel to it, quirky decor, quietness
Menu was a bit odd - some high end steaks etc mixed with standard pub fare. Could have been a little bit more interesting.
