Room & facilities good
We had a family meal 5 adults 3 children & only allowed to eat in the Bar Area as the restaurant & garden room don't open until 7.We had very poor service, the food came out at intervals over 40 minutes therefore we didn't eat together.I am afraid this spoil the lovely reunion we should of had.
Location and grounds are lovely.
Breakfast is overpriced. Avocado with poached egg option was extra. I don't like waste and food is cooked whether or not guests have arrived. Then after a period of time, it is cleared away and freshly cooked food is put out on the buffet.
Lack of interest from management regarding whether or not I had enjoyed my stay.
So much potential is being wasted.
Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Grounds.
Finding the lift and room. Garden umbrellas broken.
Lovely place
Staff where great.
Double feature room which has water damage painted over paint flaking off walls.extra pillows in the cubard where awful. Room was unbearable it was that no fan.steak was very fatty at dinner.we understand its a old place but paint peeling off the walls not good enough.
Love the history of the building.
Short staffed in the bar, waiting time to be served. Didn't like the menu in restaurant, would of preferred an A la cate menu to make it special. Didn't like the smell of fried food ie Fish and chips in the restaurant. More choice please.
everything
Die Abbey, die Lage und der Park.
The hotel was lovely, room although dark was very comfortable. Fans supplied as no air conditioning. Breakfast excellent. Staff very pleasant. Lots of history and plenty to see in hotel. Grounds and park amazing, such beautiful walks, the lakes, GoApe if it took your fancy.
Bathroom needed a safety rail ro get in and out bath for a shower.
The building itself was a lovely old Abbey with some great features and was nicely designed with tasteful decor.
The TV in our room didn’t work
Beautiful hotel and surroundings, room was very well equipped and very spacious, staff were very friendly
Great entrance, room was available early as requested, great breakfast
Rooms do not have air conditioning and it was very hot even with a fan. Have a children’s lunchtime menu in the main hotel
I came for a wedding, it was beautiful and to a very high standard.
Beautiful venue
Unable to book in prior to wedding
This is a beautiful historical hotel. The parkland setting is absolutely lovely and the bedroom was beautifully opulent. We loved it.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Our bathroom fan wasn’t working, room
69, which may have contributed to the black mould subsequently growing on the bathroom walls. Might be worth suggesting that the cleaning team, a, check extractor fans work and b, look and clean above eye level.
Absolutely stunning grounds. Extremely beautiful location
The rooms were very dark .. lots of ants if you open window ( it is in a park!) Valance bed stained drapes grimy it’s such a shame as everything is so pretty … but just needs some finishing touches … bathroom mirror only suitable if your 6ft tall. Food restaurant mediocre.
Beautiful hotel and grounds with original features making it an almost unique experience
Couldn’t find any fault
Beautiful hotel, the staff were all amazing.
Very dark in reception area and a little dated.
