Wrexham for the football.

Friendly staff and great location.

Avoid.
Pros:

Not much.

Cons:

I booked well in advance. Paid £130 inc breakfast so I expected a nice hotel. All well on arrival. The room is in need of refurbishment, cheap 1980s. It was clean though so fair play (cleaned by Amber). The bathroom was pretty awful. Clean again but a very poor standard. I stay in a lot of hotels. Many are pretty grim, but at least for that you'd expect a cheap price. Not £130!! Still I'm not precious. Went to the bar. I'd booked a table for 5 as I was meeting friends. Ordered food. After 50 mins 3 of the 5 meals came out. 2 burgers that were fine, I had a steak, chips etc. My food was cold! It must have been sat in the kitchen for 20 mins. Another 15 mins passed and we had to leave. They decided to bring the last two meals out as we were getting a refund for them. I felt like getting a refund for the steak but the 2 young bar staff there were hard work, totally lacking in customer service so I just couldn't be bothered. I politely said, can we just get a refund for those 2 and we'll go. I don't recommend this hotel, unless it's £60 a night. I suggest you avoid eating there. I would say, the only saving grace was breakfast, that was OK, prompt and the lady at breakfast, polite and helpful.
