Hotel sadly neglected and housekeeping poor. Very dusty, soap, tissues, slippers missing, hotel clearly neglected andunder staffed. A pity as beautiful building in great location with fabulous potential and a very lovely and concerned owner

There’s a musty smell in the rooms. In disrepair but they are slowly renovating. I didn’t know you couldn’t drive to the hotel and must call hotel and wait for them to let you into the no car area. Staff were very helpful and kind.

Enjoyed my stay at Antiq Palace Hotel. Welcoming staff and comfortable accommodations. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate to enjoy coffee in the courtyard, but an overall pleasant stay and easily walkable to restaurants and cafes.

If you have a car , you can't park close. They will have to let you close enough to unload your luggage. Then you have to go to the parking garage , which costs easily and extra thirty euro. Our room did not have air conditioning and was a little bit confusing. We would not stay here again.

Worst customer experience of my life. Our room which was advertised as having a working air conditioner was over 89 degrees in the morning after cooling off from an open window, during the night it was closer to 94 degrees. We alerted the staff to this issue at 10:00 pm at night as it was too hot to sleep in our room and the two young ladies on duty were super helpful trying to solve the problem and looking for a fan for us while the manger basically told them,well it’s hot deal with it. Again these girls apologized and told us they understood if we were to request a refund in the morning. In the morning another employee came to our room still around 89 degrees and said i don’t see what the problem is the air conditioning is on, (however literally pumping out warm air not cool what so ever) finally after accusing us of lying she says fine we will do a refund. We go downstairs and she proceeds to be extremely rude and tells us we have to call our credit card company for a specific code for the refund, our credit card company says no they just need to refund the charge. We have her sign a document stating her manager will refund the credit charge and she said wage sent a confirmation email. Two weeks later still no refund and no confirmation emails. My mother in law also had the same issue with her room but the lady flat out told her “you are fine, you didn’t use the air conditioner properly, again it was NOT working! Then she said , you’d paid now you leave” worst experience!!

Great location, staff, clean, comfortable beds and quiet. Outside space a bit undesirable is all. Good value.

The location is great. The staff is wonderful. The property is historic but needs some renovation. It was good value for overnight stop

The place is amazing and the attention is great

A very comfortable stay right in the middle of Ljubljana's old town. Very helpful staff, spacious, well appointed room and a comfortable bed. Very nice!

No air conditioning in the room, despite being led to believe there was. This made the warm very warm and stuffy given the 32 degree heat. Mattress sloped away on one side. Fridge was no cooler than room temperature. Shower temperature couldn't be made cooler once it was warm. Bathroom door handles were sticky and mouldy. Nice big room was a positive. Definitely didn't meet my expectations of a 4 star hotel. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful

Stunning building and decor, a real gem in the city centre. Unique and full of character, the building is decorated to the highest standards with a green patio to enjoy a drink. Located in a quiet street in the very centre, steps away from the riverside, it has a perfect location to explore the town. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Our room was enormous and bright with AC. Stylish furniture in the room and a real comfortable stay.

Super experience and I wish there were more hotels like this.

Parking hard to get

I had a few problems at beginning of my stay , but the staff was very helpful and handled all my problems. Very good staff 6 stars but only goes to 5

Fantastic stay. The front desk was incredibly helpful. They were able to help us with airport transfers and at a price that was far less expensive than the normal taxis. We also had a beautiful room, which was huge! Location was great, just a block from the canal and walking distance to everything. Would absolutely stay again.

Room still bad wine bottle from previous occupant and also cleaning material from the cleaners in it when I checked in.

This hotel was disappointing. We selected it on a Lonely Planet recommendation, its location & awards for design. Unfortunately fell below expectation. Much effort & money had gone into the interior design & reception areas were lovely. We had a suite & the bedroom was comfortable, lovely light fitting. There was an attached sitting room which felt austere, although the ceiling was beautiful. The bathroom fell well short of acceptable standards. Although money had been spent on fancy corner bath and brass fittings the heavy presence of mould in the shower and dirty toilet bowl rim made this room unpleasant to use. The sink taps dripped constantly. The shower door did not meet the shower panel and so the shower leaked onto the floor. In this 4* hotel there was no hand soap or even tea bags. We asked for some to be provided the next morning. We were surprised to return to our room later in the day to find that hand soap had been provided & was placed directly adjacent to a pile of soaking wet towels & a bathmat we had used to mop the flooded floor with. Our room was not serviced at all. We queried at reception & was advised that due to Covid restrictions no room servicing was occurring unless by special request. Very strange to reduce hygiene for Covid! We did not experience poor hygiene elsewhere in Slovenia in lower * cheaper hotels. I think the hotel owners have prioritised fancy frills over basic cleanliness & comfort. Positives - location & lovely reception staff.

Beautiful historic property in the perfect location!

Overall, the property was really lovely. The staff was incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure that we were enjoying our stay. The room was fantastic and bigger than some apartments I've lived in. The area is central and about a block from the river front.
