Nice location but rooms with no air conditioning.
Pros:

We had a room without air conditioning which I didn't even think was possible. So we did not sleep well because of this. Confirm your room type ahead of time. Excellent location. The hot tubs were clean and appreciated. Morning snacks and coffee are a plus as well.

Cons:

The printed instructions given by staff at check-in stated to call '0' after hours. We attempted half a dozen times at various times in the evening with no answer.

Moonstone beach is a lovely place to visit. Love the boardwalk. The town of Cambria is fun to shop around and eat
Pros:

We upgraded to superior ocean view room and it was so worth it. Sitting on the balcony watching the ocean waves was so relaxing

Cons:

There was no one at the desk. Had to walk down to sister hotel, Fog Catcher, to check in and check out

Pas un seul personnel dans la nuit ! Et les chambres ne sont pas équipée de ventilateurs !!!! Il facture des choses une fois le Check out fait et ne répond pas aux mails !!!

A perfect location that needs a little love.
Pros:

The location was great. It's across the street from the beach, which I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the ocean waves. Some of the restaurants were walking distance, which made it for a nice stroll. Loved the fire pits. It was great having both a mini fridge and a microwave. Loved not hearing other guests, and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of parking space and it's free. The grounds were well manicured.

Cons:

No AC in the room, the fan was old so it didn't help cool the room so the room felt muggy even with the windows opened all night, the bathroom sink was cracked, the toilet seat was chipped, the shower curtain smelled bad, the shower went cold after a few minutes, the blow dryer mesh was filthy, the bathroom walls were dirty, the closet area was nothing to talk about with wire shelving and no doors, no magnifying mirror or a full mirror, overall the furnishings were old, and the continental breakfast was meh. We were discouraged from using the jacuzzi because of a sign that talked about diarrhea :( and no drinks allowed.

Charming place to stop and relax before going out for fabulous seafood

There was no air conditioning, only a tiny plug-in fan. The rooms felt a bit outdated. The balcony has wood panel flooring and it was falling apart.

Hotel con encanto en pleno corazón del recorrido Big Sur
Pros:

Un lugar mágico, super tranquilo, al pie del mar, con un restaurante super acogedor al ladito. Chimeneas al aire libre disfrutando del sonido del mar. Y enla habitación también, aunque la nuestra no funcionaba.

Cons:

El desayuno continental deja mucho que desear. Básicamente te dejan puesto café y unos bizcochos y yogures en el lobby. Pero aparte de eso, el resto genial.
