Unfortunately we could not stay at this property, as despite spending 8000 rand upfront months before our stay they double booked our room and didn’t inform us until we arrived to check in.
No compensation offered, no advanced warning
The views are incredible from the Sunset room.
Nothing.
Outstanding service, beautiful hotel. The views are out of this world. We really didn’t want to leave. Absolutely stunning. We will definitely return.
We stayed in Cape Town before. But this was by far the best , nicest hotel we stayed in. Excellent staff. Excellent food. Beautiful location / view. Host Sven ; top guy.
Breakfast was presented well but limited selection
The pool/bar service was poor
They do not appreciate guests of guests
I’ve now stayed at this hotel twice, and I honestly wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Cape Town. The location is absolutely stunning, with the most incredible views — truly some of the best you’ll ever see in Cape Town.
What keeps bringing me back, beyond the luxury and beautiful setting, is the friendliness of the staff and the exceptional level of service. The team really goes above and beyond to make sure every need is met, and throughout both of my stays, I felt extremely safe, comfortable, and genuinely looked after.
The breakfasts were a highlight for me every single day, and the pools and overall amenities are incredible. Everything feels thoughtfully done, with your comfort clearly being a priority.
One thing that really sets this hotel apart is the tours they offer through your stay — they are unmatched, and I don’t think there is anywhere else in Cape Town offering this level of service. I highly recommend the Winelands tour as well as the Cape Colony tour.
Another huge plus is how well connected the hotel is with many of Cape Town’s top-tier restaurants, which makes getting reservations incredibly easy.
After staying here twice, it truly feels like a home away from home. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
We truly had an incredible stay. I recommend booking The Royal suite to enjoy the big space as well as the panormic views. The staff were very attentive and present, the rooms beautifully clean and the breakfast was was delicious!
The property is absolutely spotless. Had a great stay and couldn’t praise the team enough. Rebecca, Sven and all the staff hats off to you. Thanks for the bubbles on arrival and the rose petals a great gesture , much appreciated.
The extra charge at breakfast for Avocado Toast at R240 for two people is a bit silly in my opinion. Not a deal breaker but for the money one pay I really thought this is a bit cheeky. It didn’t take away from the experience but just a thought.
Perfect location, beautiful hotel, amazing views, incredible staff!
Atlantic View was the absolute perfect place to stay in Cape Town! Not only is the location centrally located, making it very easy to get anywhere you need to, but the view from all vantage points was incredibly beautiful! It sits up on the hillside overlooking Camps Bay Beach where you can relax in one of two infinity pools during the day and watch the amazing sunsets in the evening! Every single one of the staff members was friendly, kind, helpful - always had a smile on their face. Vanessa who handled breakfast each morning was exceptional and the food was delicious! It was very quick and easy to get an Uber anywhere you want to go, but the owner Greg also set us up with Carlo for 2 days who took us to the Winelands, Boulder Beach and Cape of Good Hope. I had a slight change in my plans before my trip and Greg personally reached out to me and helped to plan and organize everything- which was certainly above and beyond from any type of service I’ve gotten anywhere else! I honestly can’t recommend this place enough- you won’t be disappointed!
So glad we had a chance to spend a couple of days in Cape Town, Camps Bay area at the Atlantic View Boutique Hotel. From the first booking, all the way through our checkout they were communicative, and helpful. We didn’t really have a structured plan, as this was the end of our almost 3 week African trip. When a member of our group contacted the staff about our stay, the owner Greg, immediately got back to us and helped to plan our entire stay, and set up 2 wonderful guided days for us with Carlo. Upon check in we were awestruck with the amazing views and luxurious lodging. Thanks to their help we were able to make the most of our short stay, and they were able to arrange for us to have a late checkout so we were able to come back to the hotel on our last day and freshen up before our evening flight back to the US.
My business partner and I truly had such a wonderful stay at Atlanticview. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The space is beautifully designed and has such a warm, welcoming feel.
The team really made a difference for us. Everyone was kind, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout, which we really appreciated. We also loved the dining experience. The food was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and something we genuinely enjoyed.
It’s such a peaceful, boutique-style hotel, and it created the perfect environment for both our meetings and a bit of time to relax. We left feeling refreshed and well looked after.
Stayed here first week of March2026, absolutely beautiful hotel in a beautiful loacation. From start to finish we really enjoyed the hotel and stay. Greg and team run an excellent opertion. The staff are amazing and they really go above and beyond, day trips are also well organsied and great value for money. We stayed in the Sunset Suite and can highly recommend. Hardest part of holiday was leaving, hopefully we will be back again soon
I recently visited the hotel for lunch on two consecutive days while meeting with colleagues and unfortunately the experience did not reflect what I would expect from a five-star boutique establishment.
On the first day, I arrived for a 1:00 pm meeting and rang the bell at the front entrance approximately five to seven times before the door was eventually opened. Upon entering the hotel, there were no staff visible at reception or in the immediate area, so I made my way downstairs to the lounge/restaurant area. After a short while, a staff member approached me somewhat abruptly and asked if he could help. I explained that I was there to meet a colleague, to which he responded, “Oh, you are early,” this is not the welcome I would have expected.
We were then taken to the restaurant area for our meeting and decided to order a light lunch. As we were not particularly hungry, we chose to share a salad. Unfortunately, the dish took a very long time to arrive and, while pleasant enough, it felt extremely overpriced at just under R500 for what amounted to a small portion of leaves with a few prawns and some mushrooms.
On the second day, I returned to meet the same colleague along with another. Upon arrival, I was taken to the restaurant where they were already seated, however there were no staff attending to the area and we eventually had to go back up to reception to request service — something I would not expect in a five-star boutique hotel.
We ordered sparkling water and lunch. Once again, the food took a considerable amount of time to arrive. Both my colleague and I ordered the pasta, which unfortunately was very disappointing. It consisted of a bowl of significantly overcooked pasta with only a few baby tomatoes. The dish was extremely dry and lacked flavour. I only finished it because I was hungry and did not wish to make a scene during a business meeting. During the meal we requested a second bottle of sparkling water. When it arrived, we noticed that the label was a different colour from the first bottle — one had a blue label and the other a red label. We queried this with the waiter as we were unsure whether the second bottle was still sparkling water. He repeatedly assured us that it was sparkling but was unable to explain the difference in the labels.
Unfortunately, the situation became even more uncomfortable later when my colleague, who was staying at the property at the time, was accused of being racist simply for questioning the difference in the label colours. This accusation was both surprising and upsetting, as the question was purely about the product we had been served and not related to anything else.
Overall, the experience was disappointing. While the setting is attractive, the service was slow and inconsistent, and the food quality did not match the prices being charged. For a hotel positioned as a five-star boutique property, I would have expected a much higher standard of attentiveness, professionalism, and food quality.
We have had an exceptional stay here. The staff are amazing , friendly , attentive and it really feels like they are part of a working family doing all they can to make their guests happy. The rooms are so good , everything you need , beds are so comfy you don’t want to get out of them. The breakfast is soooo good , you just want to keep eating even when you are full. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant again staff were very attentive. I really like the fact that if a customer is rude to the staff , that honesty bend over backwards for you , the owner will back his staff up as he knows he can trust them to do the best job they can. Sometimes there is no pleasing some people. Today it was windy , is that’s the staffs fault , of course not , its just the weather doing what the weather does. It didn’t ruin our stay , we just got back into that comfy bed and watched TV. Hats off to all the staff here , we appreciate you.
