This hotel has the best views of Naples. For this reason, I would not consider staying anywhere else. not consider stay

Optimal views and location. The best terrace ever.

Cons:

Very warm staff but not that helpful in orienting the guests to move around a very complicated City like Naples. The rooms are ok but not great.

Pros:

Nous séjournons très régulièrement à l'hôtel Vesuvio et y revenon toujours avec beaucoup de plaisir! Idéalement situé en bord de mer avec des vues incroyables sur la baie de Naples, un personnel toujours au petits soin. Petit-déjeuner fantastique dans une salle avec un vue magique.

Hôtel très agréable,belle vu sur la mer et très bien situé pour visiter Naples.
Pros:

Emplacement,vu, gentillesse du personnel,qualité du petit déjeuner.La chambre était spacieuse et confortable.

Cons:

Horaires trop restreint de la piscine et du sauna et laeurs fermeture le dimanche qui ne sont pas précisées dans le descriptif de l’hôtel.

Lack of Empathy and Compassion
Pros:

My wife’s brother was admitted to intensive care in a life‑or‑death emergency, and I had to take a 9‑hour flight back to the United States with no warning. I immediately notified Grand Hotel Vesuvio in Naples that I would not be able to use the remainder of my prepaid reservation.

The only option they offered was for me to return and use the unused nights before the end of the month. My brother‑in‑law wasn’t released from the hospital until April 29th, making their offer impossible and lacking compassion.

I provided the dates of my next visit and explained that I planned to bring family members to dine at the hotel, asking that the unused nights be credited toward that stay. I appealed to the warmth and family values Italians are known for, but Grand Hotel Vesuvio denied every request.

I was then told it was “technically impossible” to extend the credit — something I would never say to a customer during a genuine family crisis. After four polite attempts to find a reasonable solution, the hotel stopped responding altogether.

Guests deserve empathy and communication in situations like this. Sadly, that was not our experience with Grand Hotel Vesuvio, Naples, and it does not reflect the Italian hospitality I have always known and appreciated.
