A lovely place, with nice hosts, but let down by choices which could be easily remedied.
Pros:

Breakfast location, food and service was excellent!

Cons:

Entry was via the bathroom/toilet, off the verandah. We noticed that there was a door from the bedroom leading onto the central hallway, this would have been a preferable entrance. The bedroom and furnishings were of good standard. However the lounge was a let down. It was furnished with items that should have been sent to an op shop. These included an old single bed, indifferently covered. The surrounding gardens were lovely, except there was a badly neglected pool which was looking very slimy.

Great host delicious breakfast.
Pros:

Host was great. Amazing breakfast. Grounds and location very nice.

Cons:

This is a historic house. The room we stayed in had an odd layout with the entrance leading you into the bathroom first. The bed was comfy but very squeaky. The walls are not soundproof, could hear everything going on in the room next to ours.

So good we stayed there twice!
Pros:

Our renovated room in a barn was really spacious and comfortable with a a lovely outlook. Andy our host was incredibly friendly and helpful with advice about the region.

Good and will stay again
Pros:

The host was great, he cooked great food for dinner and breakfast. Big spacious room. Comfy bed.

Cons:

No air con, needed a fan or something. Also the shower only gad shampoo and no body wash.

Fantastic service, location and value!
Pros:

I booked on behalf of our plumbers who were travelling for work up North. I received very great feedback about the stay. The location was perfect; the value was absolutely worth it with the breakfast included. We will definitely be staying again when we travel for work again!

Exceptional and brilliant value for money
Pros:

We are familiar with the location, being former Whangarei residents. Distance from town is immaterial especially as our business was in the Kamo area. Comparison with 3 other locations we have stayed in previously, Lupton was exceptional

Rustig motel met veel potentie maar heeft dringend een update nodig.
Pros:

Ligging, communicatie, ontvangst, rustig, ontbijt was zeer goed.

Cons:

Niet echt proper. Heel het motel heeft dringend een grondige renovatie nodig. Aangeven zwembad is niet meer in gebruik. Neem zeker je eigen drank en snacks mee want er is zo goed als niets te krijgen.

Sehr zu empfehlen.
Pros:

Der Raum war gross und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Raum. Tolles Frühstück. Freundlicher Empfang, gute Tipps für Ausflüge.

Cons:

Die Einfahrt ab der Hauptstrasse ist etwas versteckt.
