Not bad but could be better
Pros:

The hotel's location was quite good for Torremolinos. The hotel service and condition was adequate, clean, presentable. The one thing that made my stay not good was that the walls in the room are so thin I could hear everything in the room next, everything....., speaking at a normal level, snoring, wake up alarm like it was my alarm. I find that to be quite unacceptable. There was no hand soap in the bathroom which I missed .......

Fantastic Budget Hotel
Pros:

Rooms are very basic .... but clean and tidy.
Free orange juice and croissant for breakfast and a coffee only 1.20 euro !!
The manager and his wife were very welcoming and nothing was any trouble for them ... they went out of their way to help us.
I would defiantly stay here again.

Pros:

Very basic, you get what u pay for!!! Rooms basic, no view ours did have a window on to a alley, others rooms didn't have a window!!! Shower excellent, lovely staff, not to bad for location, the hotel next door was closed down, which didn't give Manantiales a clean look.

Fair
Pros:

Rooms are neat and tidy. Staff friendly and happy to help. Shower curtain was soiled so we bleached it (seriously). We also moved rooms as most have very little natural light. Some benefits include close to the main street in torremolinos, short walk to train station and rooms serviced daily.

The hotel has just been taken over by a fantastic couple: Andy and Kristina. It is spotless, they are wonderful hosts and the location could not be better.
They have totally renovated recently.
Highly recommended.

Nice quiet hotel
Pros:

The room at this hotel was very comfortable, it's was air conditioned and cleaned every day. We were made to feel very welcomed during our stay. Andy on reception with very friendly and helpful and gave us good tips on getting around, there is a train line very close to the hotel that brings you directly to Malaga airport.

Rip off at checkout - Warning!
Pros:

I read the reviews about the smells and basic facilities so I went in with my eyes open. Firstly the positive stuff. Central location just 3 min walk to the start of the shopping streets. Less than 10 min walk to central square and train station and nightlife. 10 mins walk down to beach. Basic clean rooms with air con.

Now the negatives. The biggest and the rip off! I booked via Booking.com and thought my credit card would be debited on my checkout. I asked if I can change my method of payment onto another card. They said no worries. When I checked out they said they had credited my card with the amount I paid on Booking.com. I said "Oh I didn't realise my card had already been debited", yes he replied, but no problem I have cancelled payment. So great I think and hand him my new card. He says its 25 Euro more. I said why is it more. He tells me that the price has gone up now its in August and I pay in August. If I had known this I would have carried on with the initial payment. They were keen to help me change cards and I now know the reason why. I told them that this was not good customer service, but just got shrugging of shoulders. It has left a bad taste in my mouth and will not recommend this hotel to anyone now. Other issues. Very noisy group of Spanish in on Saturday night. They came back to their rooms at 6AM shouting, banging doors etc. It went on for a while. I told them to shut up. There must have been at least 10 of them. They continued to bang and shout for another 30 mins. It was right by reception so they heard yet did nothing. There is just one young guy who speaks limited English on staff. No other staff member speaks English. Communication is difficult. There is a smell, I found it in the hallway. No smell in my bedroom. So, be aware, do not change your payment method because they will jump on it quickly, then stick you for an increased charge.

Little gem
Pros:

We booked very short notice for one night as we were arriving too late to continue with our travel arrangements. This Hotel is a 5 minute walk from Torremolinos train station and although quite central it is very quiet. The hotel itself is small and clean and fantastic value for money, we liked it so much we stayed on our way back to the airport as well.

Pros:

Our double room with own bathroom cost total 38 euro per night. The breakfast is included in the price. The hotel is small and the employees are helpful.

In our room were air-conditioner, TV, chairs and closet. Our room was on the street level, but there were not noise from the window.

Hotel totalmente recomendable.
Pros:

Hotel pequeño pero acogedor, céntrico para los amantes del centro y no de la primera línea de playa y con un estupendo ambiente familiar ofrecido por los dueños del hotel a todos los clientes.

Result!
Pros:

I booked this hotel as in the Spanish mountain village where we live the weather was dire and we thought we'd head the 35 miles coastbound for the weekend to find the sun! (Or not as it happened!)
We knew the area the hotel was in and managed to bag a parking space in the road outside, the hotel is fantastic value for money, we booked through Bookings. com and had one double room and one triple for a Saturday and Sunday night for the princely sum of 105 euros!
There is free wi-fi access throughout the hotel a safe in the wardrobe - again free of charge and breakfast is complimentary for all guests - unheard of!
I know all the downsides that the hotel is all on one floor with no views and rooms look onto an alleyway, the floor above is derelict and the owners/ staff don't speak much English but if you want views you wouldn't be booking a hotel in the middle of the town and if the look of the first floor doesn't appeal to you, don't look up! So, the staff don't speak much English but for heaven's sake you are slap bang in the middle of a Spanish town in a Spanish hotel, don't be lazy - get a phrase book out!
The two men and the lady we saw during our stay were kindness itself, all areas of the hotel were clean and tidy and the re was as much hot water as you wanted. The beds were changed every day and there were plenty of towels, the breakfast was totally adequate (for free!) what more could you expect for the price? We have stayed in far more expensive hotels who could lear a lot from this little gem.

Great little find!
Pros:

Well ! What a surprise, lovely clean, basic hotel perfect for our needs.
Free digital safe in the rooms and 24 hour reception, also pay fridge in reception if you want a beer or a coke etc. The rooms were a decent size as well, which I didn't expect. With aircon and a small flat screen TV.
Free breakfast, cereals, toast, fruit, cakes, tea, coffee.
It is situated beneath the hotel Torres, which is closed down, but its if you find Mcdonalds on the main road and walk up the street opposite you will find it, staff were polite and friendly, we had no complaints, and the price was excellent!
10 out of 10 for the free breakfast too.

Great little hotel - shame its in Torremolinos
Pros:

We booked this hotel because it was in Torremolinos centro and was cheap. Indeed this hotel is very good value for money, however as a young couple we were looking for a more lively holiday and Torremolinos didn't live up to our expectations. We'd recommend this hotel to families, older couples and gay couples (the hotel considers itself gay friendly and there is a square within 5 minutes walking distance full of gay clubs & pubs :-)) We ended up spending just over €100 in taxi's and train fares to nearby Benalmadena were the 24 hour square was full of pubs and clubs...definitely a more lively area and we'd definitely recommend this spot!

Great little hotel - pity its in Torremolinos!
Pros:

To be honest, before we left we were dreading arriving at Hotel Manantiales - we booked through Hotels.com and got a really good deal of €15 pppn for a double room with breakfast included.

First impressions of the hotel were poor- dire in fact! I like staying in budget hotels so as to have extra spending money to enjoy myself on holiday but Hotel Manantiales is located on the ground floor of a derelict hotel (I believe its called Torre 3 or something similiar) and as my fellow traveller commented looked like it belonged in a shanty town! However, to our surprise the inside was in stark contrast to the outside.

As this is becoming long winded to bullet point the good and the bad:

Good:
- we arrived early but were able to leave our bags in reception whilst we went out to explore Torremolinos
- rooms are adequate in size, appear to be newly decorated and finished to a good standard. Our bathroom had a good sized shower but was let down by the cheap shower curtain which allowed water to collect on the floor. Each room comes with a coded safety deposit box free of charge and has air conditioning (which is an absolute must!). For added safety there was railings on the window and shutters. Room was cleaned every day and replacement towels, soap and shampoo provided on a daily basis! Sweets were even left in the room for our arrival!
- breakfast was included in the price however was lacking in contrast to other European hotel breakfasts...cereal (2 choices), toast, porridge, cakes, orange juice and tea & coffee facilities
- hotel offers free wifi to all customers as well as providing free Internet access via a computer located at reception
- this hotel is located in Torremolinos centro - within 5 minutes walking distance of the commercial square and about a 20 minute walk from the beach
- this hotel considers itself gay friendly - and is ideally situated within 5 minutes walking distance of a collection of gay pubs and clubs
- this hotel has shared access to a swimming pool located at the top of the building - not ideal for small children as it involves manoeuvring around lots of work tools, building equipment to get to the top - also no life guard

Bad:
- Communication was a major problem - ideally the receptionist should speak some English, especially as this is a holiday resort
- Walls are paper thin and noise can be heard from outside
- TV was in Spanish - not one English/music channel!

- From our viewpoint, Torremolinos is most suited to families and gay & elderly couples...our experience of the nightlife was poor...we ended up spending just over €100 in taxis and train fares going to and fro the 24 hour square in Benalmadena were pubs and clubs were located...to anybody looking for a lively holiday Benalmadena is the spot to book! Even a guy promoting one of the more lively pubs in Torremolinos agreed with our evaluation of Benalmadena!

All in all, this hotel is extremely good value for money....if we could pick it up and drop it in Benalmadena we would have no hesitation in going back but as its located in Torremolinos we would be unlikely to revisit it again as it is just not applicable to our holiday needs.
