Pros:

An old, fairly basic business hotel but worked for us because it was relatively inexpensive. Clean and comfortable with all the basic amenities in the room (toiletries, kettle, coffee, tea, etc)and a short walk from the Haymarket station. But it's a relatively long walk to the sights (it was no big deal in the morning but we took an Uber back in the evening because we didn't feel up to walking). But that's the trade off for the cheaper rates, I guess.

We will use the hotel again.
Pros:

We ejoyed the stay at the hotel as a great base for seeing the city. The room was clean and comfortable abd the staff freindly and helpful, both in reception and in the resturaunt staff. The hotel is near the tram stop coming from the airport and made settling in that bit easier.
One point to watch at this popular hotel is that breakfast time is very busy so get down as early as you can.

Cons:

There is not much to criticise about the hotel but we did remark on the lack of support that the restaurant manager had for a time during breakfast... She seemed to be working alone. greeting staff with a wonderful manner as well as effectively juggling so many other tasks (table clearing, clean up, taking payments, etc). Well done to her....but the lack of support was very noticable.

Perfect for a short stay
Pros:

Clean, comfortable bed, great amenities and in a quiet area. Excellent location to the centre of Edinburgh and the airport. Perfect for a short stay and work trip.

Great hotel - do not eat there in the evening
Pros:

Clean. Nice rooms.

Cons:

Beware the restaurant in the evening. Ordered a black bean and roasted red pepper quesadilla. It had breakfast beans in it and no roasted red peppers or black beans. The kitchen confirmed this. Said their food order had not come in????

Absolutely Perfect!
Pros:

We were attending a concert at Murrayfield, hotel was near enough half way between the stadium and Waverly Station (about a 20-25 min walk each way), so absolutely perfect for our needs. Very reasonable price for being a central hotel. Staff were wonderful and the hotel itself was really lovely and clean.

Cons:

Nothing bad about the place but just a heads up for future concert/match goers that there is only 2 lifts that can roughly fit in about 4-5 people at a time, so for us coming back from a concert with many other guests there was a wait for the lifts.
