From the time we arrived to getting in our car to depart we felt valued and appreciated! Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast at Pine were both special and delicious! We can’t wait to visit again! Thank you!
The staff is warm, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and cozy. Perfect location for visiting Dartmouth and walking into town.
Great location! Dartmouth is directly across the street, and the hotel is walkable to everything in Hanover. Lovely staff, spacious, clean, quiet rooms.
The only downside is parking, which is all valet. But if you plan ahead (ie: Take everything you need out of your car when you arrive and remember to ask for your car at least 10-15 minutes before you need to leave), it works great. They even kindly parked our car right out front the night before our (very early) departure so that it was ready to go when we came downstairs.
Great location right on the edge of Dartmouth's campus and next to other shops and restaurants. The rooms are large but very cozy. The beds and pillows are very soft, so if you're someone who prefers a firm mattress or pillow it may be a little uncomfortable. It was very quiet and very clean. The staff is very helpful, and as a solo traveler I felt very safe.
We’re stayed at Hanover Inn many times now, since our son began his studies at the college. It is a very well-run operation. It’s such a beautiful hotel. The lobby, with its fireplace, is so welcoming. We enjoyed some programming at the Inn that was seamless. Good breakfasts and lunches too.
Location is AMAZING! Overall, the staff is friendly, but the VALET is RUDE. The rooms are very nice, but it was just very warm in the room, even with the a/c on.
For first time visitors, the Hanover Inn was the perfect place to be. The proximity to campus and the downtown was the perfect walking trip, even in the cold of winter.
Service and cleanliness have noticeably declined. During my four-night stay, housekeeping arrived very late (around 2–3 p.m.), yet my request for a noon late checkout was denied, citing early cleaning schedules. Body lotion was not replenished, the coffee station was dirty daily, and on two mornings the coffee was already empty by 9 a.m. The lobby restrooms were consistently messy, and once there were no paper towels.
Room service was also disappointing: a soup arrived without a spoon, napkins, or salt and pepper, and it took a long time to correct after calling.
Compared to a recent stay at 6th South Street Hotel, which had excellent guest service, it feels like this beautiful hotel is unfortunately going downhill
The Hanover Inn is an oasis of hospitality in Hanover, NH! The location is perfect for visiting parents (especially for sports events). It is truly a treat to be able to stay in the lovely rooms, experience the food at the Pine Restaurant, and experience the excellent service of staff at the hotel. The General Manager of the hotel, Brian, was exceptionally welcoming to guests!
Made a spontaneous trip to Hanover to visit my college student and to get a firsthand experience of an East Coast winter—and snow! I had a marvelous stay at the Hanover Inn. The location is unbeatable, right in the middle of everything, yet quiet, immaculately clean, and full of old-world charm. The staff were pleasant and exceptionally helpful, the food was delicious, and the morning coffee along with the afternoon and evening cookies was a lovely touch. Everything was wonderful, and I can’t wait to return for many more visits in the future!
Wonderful experience. Lovely hotel right on the Dartmouth campus. Excellent room with a view of the Dartmouth square. Took good care of our pup. Excellent restaurant. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. What a lovely little town. Great weekend.
A wonderful stay at a wonderful hotel - the Hanover Inn is so special to us! Thank you for everything. The front desk is particularly great.
