The location was wonderful set back from the road with the lovely town of usk a very short walk away very well presented from the start really nice rooms and a very nice breakfast to start.your day.

Fantastic! Great hotel, perfect location and wonderful staff!

Very impressed! The staff were amazing - very helpful, always a smile and friendly, but courteous and respectful as well. Location was perfect (for me), beautiful grounds with the park and River Usk opposite, and just a 5 minute walk over the bridge to the town centre. My room was great! Bed lovely & comfortable, clean & tidy (cleaners were lovely!) - I really can't fault the hotel or the staff, and not too expensive either - a win-win! I'll definitely be back!

Pros:

Fantastic hotel - rooms comfortable if a tad hot for my liking. Shame the lift was out of order when arriving with a heavy bag.
Food as always freshly cooked and fantastic - always feel embarrassed that I can't eat it all.

Just what I needed for that evening.
Pros:

Needs a bit of a decorative makeover, bathroom was excellent and bedding. Staff very friendly and bar man needed training as he was struggling a little, being new to the role. Breakfast was very tasty but coffee was awful.

Cons:

Coffee. Veg with steak were overdone. too much and no need for chips and potatoes.

I highly recommend this family run enterprise.
Pros:

Sumptuously furnished. A touch old-fashioned but this endows the establishment with character. Please don’t modernise it! Superb freshly cooked breakfast served on a warm plate. 10/10.
