Great place to stay
Pros:

Staff were excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Room a great size for 3 persons. Clean and very comfortable. Great breakfast and service. Great location.

Cons:

Went to the bar for a drink before bedtime. Although there was a great selection of drinks, the bar didn't have Cork Dry Gin. This may seem like a trivial comment but I expected the hotel to have this recognizeable Irish Gin as it has been going 8for years. Also, no Schweppes tonic water which would also have been my preference. The only tonic available was Poachers. Both light and ordinary were disgusting so both my friend's gin and my drink were ruined.

Lovely Rooms
Pros:

We spent a week in Ireland and this was probably one of our least favorite, although it was still a quality breakfast. You had to order from a menu and the options were limited.

Pros:

Breakfast was delicious! Staff are super friendly, kind, and helpful. Beds are big and comfortable and the Castle view was breathtaking. Ideal location in downtown Kilkenny- walking distance to everything.

Cons:

Not much super hot water, and no mini fridge.
