Very delicious food. Nice terrace outside if the weather is good.
I had the kroket with bread, all super fresh.
The service was a little slow, but the good food and nice location made up for it all! A bit expensive but OK.

Very friendly staff. Food was delicious in the restaurant and good portions.

I stayed at the Van Der Valk Hotel Akersloot at the end of December for one night during a business trip, and I must say the experience was very positive.
My room was a "Standard Plus," well-cleaned and very comfortable. The room offered everything needed for a pleasant stay: a comfortable bed, a spacious and well-maintained bathroom, and excellent Wi-Fi connectivity—perfect for someone like me who needs to work while traveling.

The hotel is strategically located, easily accessible from the highway, just 20 minutes from Schiphol Airport and about 20-30 minutes from Amsterdam city center. This makes it ideal for both business travelers and those wishing to visit the city.

Another highlight is the on-site restaurant. I started with a delicious “Steak Tartare” as an appetizer, followed by the “Saté Ajam”—both dishes were exquisite. The restaurant's atmosphere was also warm and inviting.

Overall, I didn’t encounter any negative aspects during my short stay. I highly recommend this hotel to both families and business professionals for its comfort, services, and strategic location!

This place was the biggest hotel I have ever stayed at. It was like a resort I even got lost in a good way ! I would stay at any van der valk property again so nice !

The hotel has potential, staff dooing their best, but clearly most of them are amateurs. Every night the restaurant was visited by several mice, same in the bar. Not good hygene in areas where food is made/served.

Great hotel with very nice rooms and a large TV. Great facilities, large pool, bubblebath and saunas. Excellent location close to Alkmaar, right next to the motorway exit and on-ramp. Very friendly service in reception.

Very unprofessional security. Reception sent me around the building, as my room was in the opposite end by the other entrance. Right as I enter by the other exit, I am confronted by a very hostile security guard who is shooing me away. I show him my room key card, and he tells me that I am not allowed to enter from that entrance in a very angry manner. I was shocked at this behavior, and I went back to the reception, where a young lady apologized and told me that I was allowed through said entrance.

Fantastic stay....excellent staff!

I'm a foreign tourist and stayed with my family for four nights. After our arrival I wanted to enter the hotel through the back entrance and was met by a group of men hanging around smoking heavily in front of the door. I was waiting for the rest of my family in front of the elevator. A man was sitting there (later it turned out that he was one of the daily changing security guards) and asked me if he could help me and if I already had booked a room.

At that point we didn't know that the hotel was packend with asylum seekers. (40 rooms with 80 people.)

I went to the front desk and asked why there are security guards and if the hotel is safe. The woman at the front desk told me that the asylum seekers are their guests as well and that they are very polite. Sure thing. That's why they have security guards because everything is so cosy and nice.

The room was not clean. There were potato chips under the sofa and someone has cooked eggs in the electric kettle. I had to go twice to the reception. The first time they told me to clean the dirty kettle with water myself. The second time they finally gave me a clean one.

Afaik the Van der Valk family got 115 000 000 € from the government for packing their hotels with asylum seekers. They tried this stunt in Germany as well but didn't succeed.

The website of the hotel doesn't mention that there are asylum seekers living in the hotel. I felt and still feel betrayed because if I knew I wouldn't have booked that hotel in the first place. Contrary to the content they portray in their fancy "Van der Valk magazine" paying customers are not that important to them. I won't support that greediness anymore.

I have stayed in several Van der Valk Hotels for nearly 20 years now and a lot of times in the Akersloot hotel.

To make a long story short. No more Van der Valk hotels for me. Never again.

Direkt an der Autobahn, daher für die Durchreisen für eine Nacht optimal geeignet.

Dreadful, I left clear.notes with the booking to say if this wasnt an actual double mattress then they must reject the booking because I cannot sleep in a single bed. And yes, this was 2 single beds barely pushed together, couldnt sleep either night as the beds kept separating and I would fall.on the floor, really disappointing and I expect a.refund based on 2.nights of no sleep and taking my booking when I expressly said I need a double mattress

Dejligt hotel med mange faciliteter, dog lidt slidte værelser. Restaurant maden var så ikke god som den plejer at være.

Wij verblijven altijd heerlijk in dit hotel!!

Wir haben das Frühstück erst bei der Ankunft dazu gebucht und es wurde automatisch nicht ins System übertragen, so dass wir beide Male beim Betreten des Speisesaals angehalten wurden und die Rezeption zur Hilfe holen mussten, die dann bestätigte, dass das Frühstück doch bezahlt wurde.
Angenehm große und saubere Zimmer. Angefangene Duschgels werden bei der Reinigung des Zimmers entsorgt und neue Fläschchen werden hingestellt. Eigentlich total verschwenderisch aus meiner Sicht. Aber ok.
