Pleasant location, spacious rooms.
Some of the events held at the hotel are a little too noisy. It would help if the function rooms kept their windows closed.
Quiet, spacious room
TV struggled to find a signal on anything other BBC and ITV
Clean and comfortable
Location was interesting
Near where I needed to be
Room size and room facilities
needed air con in the room and restaurant /bar area
Breakfast was really good, Hotel really good value for money. Staff working there all very friendly. A very good hotel.
Not overly keen on the quiet road down to the hotel from the main road at the top. Especially in winter dark nights.
Handy having Chinese restaurant on the place
Couldn’t turn down temperature in room
Clean and tidy
Food was average
Comfy bed. Tea and coffee facilities. Lovely shower. Spacious room.
No aircon. Industrial style fan provided but very noisy. No plug sockets next to the bed.
Room was a great size
The noise from the prom - rang reception for a finish time and no answer - rang twice
Room was clean & comfortable even though we were in an annex behind the main building.
Staff were pleasant & helpful
Choice at breakfast was poor, no fresh fruit, yoghurt or pastries, which are standard in many hotels these days. Most unusually peanut butter was part of the breakfast buffet & due to nut allergies I thought this was reckless!
The toasters kept blowing as they'd plugged all of them into the same wall socket. The cooked breakfast was standard.
I made clear we were travelling with bicycles when I booked, yet we were allocated first floor rooms, so had to struggle up the stairs through two doors with our bikes & luggage. No secure bike parking provision on site.
Great location and price for the races
Location wise out of town
