Pros:

Only the beautiful lobby and the manager whose desk was closest to the window were kind and efficient.

Cons:

The hotel shows one price — fine, taxes may apply — but my booking stated 5,384 CNY. In the end, they charged me 7,606 CNY. They never once warned me about any deposit. Instead, they simply informed me on arrival that they would charge extra “in case you drink a Coke or juice from the minibar.” Honestly, I always find it strange when a hotel positioning itself as 5-star asks guests to pay separately for Coca-Cola.
I was immediately concerned about why this had never been mentioned beforehand. And by the way, other guests nearby were asking the exact same question. It felt very calculated — by the time you arrive, you are unlikely to cancel or leave, but it still creates a very unpleasant impression.
I immediately asked when the deposit would be refunded and specifically requested NOT to return it through Alipay, because I did not know how long the transfer from Alipay to my bank card would take. The staff member assured me it was fine and that the money would be sent directly back to my card.
In reality, I checked out on the 5th, and today is already the 17th, and the deposit still has not reached my card. Technically they refunded it — but to Alipay, exactly what I had explicitly asked them not to do.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I definitely will not stay there again. There is another hotel just two minutes away that is far more professional. I remember they also mentioned a deposit, but when I said it had not been clearly communicated beforehand, they did not insist on charging it.
Another thing that seriously ruined my impression was the cleanliness of the room. When I arrived, all the furniture was covered in dust. Only after I complained the next day and asked them to clean properly did they wipe the dust and bring fruit as an apology. They did not bring fruit on the first day — only after placing me in a dusty room. Again, this is supposed to be a 5-star hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel in Shanghai. The hotel itself was excellent, the food was delicious and had lots of options, and the location was very convenient for getting around the city.
