Good ol spot
Room looked like a horror movie scene. Hot as balls with no AC and the fan they provided was broken. Parking is a mile away, reception closes at 9 and it’s also way up the hill.
The facilities were on the older side of things and hasn't really been updated. Architecturally the building is stuck in the 1970s. The stay pretty much represented the college dorm experience.
Poor service and condition
It was a cool stay at a cheap price. But as the security was not present during entry, i had faced considerable difficulty checking in.
Unfortunately the area around this property is not very interesting in the summer and there are no close dining options, the nearest is a 20 minute walk. This is especially annoying in the morning when you want to grab a coffee and a bagel somewhere.
There is zero atmosphere here, all of the tourists are spread out around the property on different floors (which is very big) so there is no social atmosphere.
The kitchens did not have any cooking equipment or cutlery etc.
It was good to get a private room at a low price, but a hostel dorm in a better location would have been better than this.
Very uncomfortable: very hot, showers awful, mattresses awful, pillows awful, lighting awful, stairs awful.
Was great for a short stay.
There were stains on the sheets, the lights barely worked, there were swastikas and male reproductive organs graffitied all over the bathroom with shampoo, our towels and sheets were moist when we arrived, the instructions to get to the room were incredibly unclear, bugs were crawling all over the place 10/10 would recommend
It was really the worst, the room was not the same with the one i had chosen before, so different photo
Nice room just very warm
Great to remember the student years! Close to transportation, private, quiet environment, nice staff. I had a private room, very useful to have a mini fridge and a fan. Thank you ZUM!
It was nice having my own mini fridge and sink in my room but the noise was kinda ridiculous no one had any consideration of other people sleeping, doors were being slammed from 11pm to 4am I was woken up almost every hour by someone slamming the their door or having their music/phone volume up all the way having a loud conversation.
It’s not the property’s responsibility nor fault it’s more that people were very inconsiderate of others
When there is really really nothing available during Montreal Formula 1 racing weekend, it is just ok, so you can find a place to sleep. Otherwise, don't do it.
Check in quite complex. Buildings not clearly marked. Hard to find check in desk without asking someone nearby for directions
Good Location. Secure.
The check in process was really challenging.
Expedia said they would send us a code to get our keys, but they never did- just sent a message late on day of check in that our keys are with security. The security guard kept insisting to check our email for the code- which Expedia never sent us. It took us 45min to convince him to get us the keys- he was literally scrolling through my email looking for the code. Eventually I just sat on the ground and made it clear this was their problem before he strolled across to the office and retrieved the code.
The campus does not have proper signage- we stopped at 3 different buildings before we found the right one. Uber dropped us off at the wrong building- it’s not properly shown on google maps.
Once we were in, it was fine, serviceable and fit for purpose.
So bad
The room is hot. No space at all in the room.
Overall good
