Take tram line 8 towards Dresden Hellerau Kiefernweg and get off at Prager Strasse. Follow the signs towards Altmarkt. Our hotel is on the left side of the Dr.-Kulz-Ring. Alternatively, you can walk from the Dresden Hauptbahnhof train station to the hotel. Just follow the Prager Strasse to the Altmarkt (about a 15-minute walk)

VFM in a lovely hotel
Pros:

Location perfect from our point of view, close to the station (10 minute walk), close to old town and shops with a tram stop adjacent. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Good atmosphere in reception/bar area on the ground floor with excellent lighting (no harsh white light) and the whole area well laid out.
Security good as you needed the room card to access lifts/stairs etc. from the ground floor reception area.
Did not have breakfast so cannot comment.

Cons:

No comments as I can't think of anything really detrimental, but perhaps a small bedside drawer in your room in which to put your monies, keys etc.
