If like me, your initial view is how clean and the excellent layout of the public rooms. Our room was very clean and looking out of our window, we saw the most beautiful view of river.
Friendly staff bar and food lovely
And very helpful
Road noise and the traffic to get in and out was bad most off the time
I thought the price off the breakfast was steep
The secured parking
Wash facilities, size of room, reported faulty shower gel dispenser and not replaced.
We made a very last minute booking for lunchtime on Monday 13th April. We had a very timely (within 15 minutes) confirmation from Samantha D, along with some helpful information. I'm deaf, and all my interactions with staff, either as a result of the information I provided in my email, or as a result of them seeing my hearing aids and lanyard, showed tactful accommodation of my communication needs.
There is a large car park at the rear of the building, with some parking, including accessible parking bays, at the front.
We'd not visited the Bridge House for some time, and took my Mum for her 90th Birthday. We'd not apprised the hotel of the reason for our visit, yet they clearly saw her opening her birthday cards at the table, which lead them to bring out a plate with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate with a strawberry after our meal; a clear indication of attentive and observant Front Of House staff.
We had two carveries, and one gammon and chips. Food was good quality, well presented, and we feel represented good value for money in exceptionally comfortable and relaxing surroundings. Service was swift, polite, friendly and efficient. As it was sunny outside, we spent time on the decking after our meal, before walking over the bridge to the island, to see the swan.
Overall, a thoroughly pleasant experience right the way through, from booking to paying the bill.
Great bed and duvet.
The shower was a little hard to regulate to a safe temperature.
Room was newly decorated with a great bathroom The facilities and staff were terrific and night staff very helpful when I had a problem with the people in the room next door
Room walls seem to be very thin Can hear people clearly talking late into the night The night staff did immediately go to the room but people inside would not answer so after 2 and night of disturbed sleep at 1.30 am and 11 pm we came home a night early I was offered another room immediately which I should have took but why should I need to move all my belongings It's not the hotels fault as it did cause me inconvenience
Excellent restaurant , room good
Pillows too soft , bed small
So ideal for me to visit friends
Very clean, very comfortable in the staff very friendly
Lovely room overlooking the river and simple but perfectly cooked dinner from the specials menu. Also received a free drink as a Best Western reward.
As always, comfy riverside rooms, tasty breakfast and lovely staff
Good location, good service, great facilities
Nothing
Location and food. Staff very attentive
Parking on site. Room was a great size, comfy bed and facilities ok.
The restaurant for a meal got a couple of things wrong, but food was tasty abd took a long time. Even if busy should ve able to cope. Breakfast was overpriced especially when everything was cold...not even warm, apart from the baked beans. Really disappointed at £15 each.
There wasnt a choice of eggs, until we heard someone ask and they were then kept waiting so their food would have been really cold! No fruit, that would have been a great option. No Gluten free options either...would have been good to have had a seperate toaster with GF bread.
It was a lovely place, the photos don't do it justice. Staff were lovely, place was spotlessly clean and very good value for money. We had a riverview room and it was a pleasure to wake up and see the swans/ducks outside your window. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you to all the staff that looked after us, you are doing an amazing job. 5 ✨
If I had a criticism it would be the shower.
Comfortable and clean. Restaurant very busy but had a lovely meal.
No water in our room - have always previously had a bottle.
Convenient half way stop on our journey
Lovely river views at the back
Both times ed have stayed here we have been allocated a room on the road . Double glazing non existent or useless so traffic noise loud and intrusive
