Quick check in , ambience is quiet , room is clean . Bed is comfortable
Breakfast is good and with decent choices; cafe barista needs training for good coffee;
exhaust fan not strong enough to fan away smells; room is dated and requires major design configuration/renovation; simple is best in the event that a reno is done; hotel's attempt to please with ostentatious and over-the-top design is so passe; furnishings needs big upgrade to bring it to 21st century; gold decor is too much; location is far from Old Quarter; did not feel the joy of a proud hotel staff showcasing the hotel; made me feel that customer service (i.e. training) is not a priority to hotel management.
As a 5-star hotel, the breakfast is terrible. Basic items like cheese were missing for two days, and on one day, they only offered one kind.
There’s no variety in bread, and the coffee is bad.
The restaurant has an unpleasant smell that sticks to your clothes — really disappointing!

The hotel really had a grand lobby. Although we arrived late at night, the lone staff in the reception area was accommodating. It took awhile to check-in though since we were a group of 6 persons.
The room was comfortable with the basic amenities. We also enjoyed our breakfast as the food spread was good. I loved the fruits!
Since I was there for a meeting, the location was accessible to the Convention Center. We also had an easy time getting grab cars for tours around the city.
The bed is old and too soft causing backache. Need to shift position to avoid backache therefore didn't have good sleep for last few nights.

Worst ever service I had experienced. I stayed at GRAND PLAZA HANOI and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience at their breakfast service. the staff’s behavior and service were a huge letdown. All the staff members appeared disengaged, with some even being outright rude. They seemed uninterested in helping or answering questions , and at one point, we had to wait for more than 15 minutes to ask for a coffee refill. I came with my family we were 22 people.
Lack of Professionalism: The overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming, with staff members chatting among themselves and neglecting their duties. It made the entire breakfast experience unpleasant. Ver very upset.
Worst staff and service never experienced before . Very very bad staff behaviour . They don’t know what’s the hospitality means. All the staff behave like they are dumb . What ever we asked they knowingly don’t listen in restaurant when we taking breakfast.
