The Crystal Apartments

The layout in our room was odd, no facilities for my wife to do her hair, ie plug point and mirror together, there was a mirror in the bedroom but we had to ask for an extension as the plug was hidden behind the sliding cupboard draws and not accessible., and the bedroom had 2 sliding draws that when closed the bedroom became a small box with no air-conditioning and when we opened a cupboard next to the bed there was a boiler inside, very weird.
The main lounge kitchen area is dominated by a breakfast console that takes up do much space and makes the room feel so much smaller, plus the extractor fan above the console is low and you bang your head on it, after all that we had a great stay once we adapted to the room, its just a pity that after so much design bd monet was spent on these apartments they missed out on the snaller guests conveniences that would have made our stay perfect.

Durch das Badfenster zum Treppenhaus- hört man das schlagen der Wohnungstüren enorm, bei frühen Abreisen kann das schon mal vorkommen. Bedingt durch die Winde pfeifen die Türen schon mal, kam ab und an vor. Die Klimaanlage hatte nur eine Einstellung- die lag bei fast 100 Prozent- hätte diese gerne reguliert.

If you are looking for a 4* apartment, this isn't it. It would have been 4* back in 2010's, but a lack of maintenance means that a lot is requiring maintenance. The first room we got given (room 115) we couldn't even get into properly as the lock was dodgy, we didn't get a good beach/sea view (even though the block had empty apartments with better views), and the sofa bed rolled out every time you sat on it. The leather chairs were cracked and there were marks on the walls everywhere. They moved us into room 109 which felt much better but the carpet was disgusting and needs replacing. Although they give you a washer dryer, they don't provide washing tabs, so you have to go buy them yourself which seems a waste buying a small box to only use 1 or 2 during your stay. They also didn't replace our towels during house keeping. Overall, if you're looking for a 3* apartment close to Camps Bay with a pool this is a good option, but we thought it is expensive for what you get.

Worst 2 hotel night of my life. Wall are made of paper, we could hear everything that happens. First night we had the neighbors fighting all night, literally till 5 in the morning. Second night just noise of other guests. Looks fancy on the outside, but did definitely live up to the luxury vibes

In der Garage stehen die Außengeräte der Klimaanlagen, wodurch es dort unerträglich heiß ist und die Wohnungen im Erdgeschoß von unten mit aufgeheizt werden. Normalerweise schlafen wir ohne Klimaanlage, hier ging es aber nicht anders.
Da kann allerdings der Betreiber der Unterkunft wenig dafür bzw. nichts dagegen machen.

Viele Gegenstände sind in die Jahre gekommen oder waren defekt.

Auf dem zweiten Balkon war ein Tisch ohne Tischplatte, Spülmaschine war nicht mit Salz gefüllt, die Waschmaschine und Klimanalage haben Probleme gemacht und generell war das Zubehör in der Küche teilweise nicht mehr richtig funktionsfähig.

Location - not much nearby & a long walk to Camps Bay shops & restaurants.
