Lovely and clean. Staff were great to deal with and very helpful. Was easy to find. Plenty of parking which was a pleasant surprise as we have been caught out at other locations that only mention the lack off in the fine print

The room was spacious in reasonable condition. (A little attention would make all the difference), the lesiure facilities where very welcome shame the steam room and Suna weren't working.
Overall great value, a good breakfast and location worked well for us.

An enjoyable 2 night stay. Staff were pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. Good choice for breakfast. We didn't dine in the hotel, but the menu looked to have a good choice too. Room was clean and comfortable. Booked again for a function in September.
Really calming and friendly welcome. Room was a good size and clean. Loved the added extras of water, tea, coffee and biscuits. Room was cleaned on the second day of our stay (we stayed for 2 nights). Lovely addition of the spa use, which was clean. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back :)
There is a lift, and the shower in our room was super powerful. Lovely location.
The character that is conveyed in the photos is totally lacking in person. The breakfast was sadly inedible- overcooked and tasteless.

Hotel was lovely but not enough staff on in the morning for breakfast you need at least 2 people to much for 1 person to cope with
Evening meal was good. We arrived later than expected so did not have time to visit the pool
The staff on duty were trying to do their best but the hotel was obviously very understaffed.

No parking after it sells with parking
We stayed for one night, passing through the Lake District to Scotland and it was in the perfect location.
The price was competitive.
The staff were lovely. We ordered food at the Reception, before went for a swim in the fab swimming pool, because the restaurant would have been closed afterwards. The lady working at Reception kindly organised for the food to be brought the food up to our room, and timed it so that it would be there after our 45 minute swim. This made our stay perfect.
The breakfast was particularly good and the service was also good. There was a wide variety of choice in the cold breakfast buffet and also a good selection for the table service cooked breakfast options.
Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Character
Location was good, easy walk into Kendal bus stop nearby if you needed it. Good size room , warm and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Nice food, especially breakfast,. Staff were all friendly.
The music in the dining room area.
It was surprising to us that we were the only people in the dining room both nights, never experienced that anywhere before.
