The staff were amazing and beautiful hotel
Not a thing… WiFi could be a little better but useable.
Lovely and clean, great facilities, very friendly staff and great food. Great location for travelling around the lakes
The staff were amazing and friendly.
Very clean and also quiet hotel
Facilities such as having a swimming pool albeit small.
Breakfast was very good and quality ingredients.
Local to where I was working as a business trip
Free parking
Road noise
A little bit away from the town
Fabulous location and beautiful rooms and dining area. Helen was fantastic and seemed to be there all the time.
The location to travel around the lakes! The leisure facilities are just like the pictures and bathroom was great!
The hotel was BOILING! The fan was so small and the window opened a little. The food is quite overpriced and salty… I mean there was salt on my broccoli. The swimming pool is NOT heated!
Location
I booked a standard double room - it was very small and the walls were marked and the paint was chipped. I requested a change of room; the next ‘extremely small’ double had stains on the scatter cushions and the lamp shades - I was not comfortable. I asked to change rooms again, we were shown a superior room which is bigger, and brighter - this appeared okay. The bathroom drainage was an issue with both the sink and bath being very slow to drain. The pictures advertised on booking.com are not true to life and are false advertising. The hotel as a whole needs a lot of attention and care. I pool as far as we could see but a lot of work going on around the back of the hotel. The breakfast was also very poor quality.
I loved the exposed beams and large cosy rooms and the front of house staff were exceptional. It was a lovely night stay. Breakfast I had eggs Benedict and it was amazing! Hollandaise sauce was spot on!
I had to get out of my shower early as it started flooding due to a blocked drain. I have informed staff of this minor issues.
Charming property. Free parking.
No air con, very weak fan on a hot day.
Comfortable room, good location and breakfast
Free car parking, colour scheme. The lady on reception worked so hard and was so friendly and helpful. She was a one woman show. The kettle wasn’t working and she sorted it out straight away. Quiet rooms - you could not hear any of the other patrons. The pool was open even though the website said that it wasn’t.
The pillows were not comfortable. The room was really hot even with a fan (this was rather small for the room). We were not keen on a soap bar being for both hair and body. The dining room for breakfast is small meaning that you had to give an exact time that you would dine and then you were seated at a table rather than being able to choose where to sit.
Absolutely lovely hotel, staff were amazing and very welcoming. Room was very clean and plenty of towels, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, biscuits, water bottles which was a lovely touch. Pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and cold room was beautiful and very relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and a lovely variety.
Pool could be warmer, was very cold
Very comfortable, friendly staff
Could do more with the outside space and we were previously informed that the pool was out of action but it actually was in use.
Good location.
Comfortable social area
Good food
Pool area good.
Basic double room was a bit cramped
Article found in bathroom, suggests the bathroom had not been scrupulously cleaned. Room202
Bar area not always serviced by staff.
The hotel is clean and well maintained.
The staff were welcoming and kind.
We could park and charge our car at the premises, which was very helpful.
There was some choice of nice food for breakfast, including cooked meals.
Nothing to dislike.
