Very comfy, extra large bed!
Food very upmarket produce cooked well. Staff were friendly and kind. All rooms were immaculate. Beautiful large rooms!
Not brilliant for baby. Lift very small, additional steps, slim hallways. Pool no easy access

We were at the front of the hotel and with the window open there was some road noise as its the main route into Kendal, couldnt hear a thing though with the windows closed.
It was very clean and modern
I did not like the change they’ve done downstairs. I was quite taken aback by the open plan. Having the reception, bar, lounge and dining area all open made me feel vulnerable. The continuous spa music in the background was very annoying and for us only served to highlight how quiet and boring the place was as it almost made us feel like we shouldn’t talk. I also didn’t like having to sign in for the swimming as again, it was in front of everyone eating etc. The pool was nice but the jacuzzi didn’t work and the second morning the sauna hadn’t been turned on. Breakfast tasted lovely but buffet was extremely limited. We went to hotel next door for dinner and atmosphere. These are just things that weren’t to our taste but if these things aren’t important to you then it could be the perfect place.
Room was very comfortable. It could have done with some shower gel or shampoo. Dining area was cold. I was offered to sit in the lounge area. Staff very pleasant. Breakfast excellent

The staff were nice and the breakfast was ok but not worth the price
The room was not worth the price for 300 quid, there wasn't any shower gel or hand soap and the shower head fixture was broken spurting out water everywhere the light fixtures didn't really work with the switches and the lights themselves were also caked in dust. Breakfast took over 40 minutes for me just to be seated and there was only one person running it and didn't have the capacity for the amount of people there at the time.
I think it would be fine if it wasn't 150 per night I would expect that from somewhere cheaper but not a 4 star hotel I think I was just disappointed more than anything because I usually stay in a Travelodge and wanted to treat myself to somewhere different but it wasn't much of a step up I can't recommend
The pool
Breakfast was good. Hotel is on a bus route. Manager was extremely helpful.

Room and bathroom were clean. And the pool looked lovely, just wish I had brought my costume.
I found the bed and pillows all really hard. I was meant to ask about softer pillows, but was rushing about, so my fault there. Curtains never really closed properly so was woken by sun coming in. I also never realised hotel was so close to main road, so road traffic noise was hectic when windows open. Also expected more of a garden, maybe there is when building works are done, but don't think so.
