The restaurant was amazing! The rooms were clean. Bed was comfy. Hotel was close to the Waterfront. Bar staff was exceptional.
Expected a living room in our unit upstairs but it was a second bedroom with a desk basically. Our room did not have the best of views and there was no dressing table. The shower leaked water out the door and the showers do need an upgrade as tiles and rubber seals were broken. The parking area at the back of the hotel was a complete mess, could be kept tidier. There were a lot of appliance boxes etc. by the oyster tank section - clearly visible in the restaurant - looked a bit untidy there.
Access to the sea front and walking area. The room is large and spacious, with a fridge. Very nice croissants and breakfast quality was good, but limited. Safe to walk around.
The noisy bar, limited breakfast. Did not get water in the room apart from the 1st night. My colleague did not get milk apart from the first night. The breakfast order was wrong twice. My room, 207, had a noisy bathroom fan
Location and size
Noise from the refuse bins every morning
It was clean. However it's just an old place thats worn down .
The pillow very hard like rocks...the aircon wasn't working properly and it was very cold. No blankets in the room...
Staff were fantastic, super helpful and resolved our booking issue. Good sized rooms, great location. If you request a twin room via Booking.com, make sure you get a confirmation email of what you are getting.
Shower needed attention, not clear what was included for breakfast and what was extra.
John and his team were helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome. It is in a great location, there were good breakfast choices and the tapas was delicious. The shower was warm and bed was comfortable.
Needs plug sockets next to the bed.
Lovely room overlooking the park and mountain. The hotel is perfectly located on the beach front in a very safe part of Cape Town, opposite the Mouille Point lighthouse. Lots of people walking along the promenade overlooking the sea. We walked into the Waterfront a couple of times during our stay but you can easily catch a taxi (Unicab - recommended by the hotel) which would take 5 minutes. The hop on hop off bus stop is directly opposite the hotel. The manager at the hotel, John was super friendly and informative.
Our room at the back was a little noisy in the early morning. It is directly opposite a golf course and the greenkeepers cut the grass early. Also, staff coming and going in the morning and evening were quite noisy. Also, the building next door has deliveries and that was noisy. I would however stay there again as the location can't be beaten and the views and comfort of the beds were excellent.
This was a great hotel within walking distance to restaurants and the V&A. The staff were exceptionally friendly and SO helpful.
Very helpful and friendly staff - we always receive a warm welcome. Great location and Sotana restaurant is fabulous with great staff too.
Nice location
Car park was difficult to locate and we were over charged
The view
The rooms isn't very looked after! The bathrooms are small stinky and the tiles broken! The towels is old but clean, but is fallen apart!!
John the manager and ask the staff were exceptional
Great location, easy check in, comfortable, good restaurant and bar, good value.
all good.
John the GM went out of his way to ensure our stay was one to remember. Everyone was great and the location was perfect
