Hotel Okura Kobe was an excellent choice for the trip to Kobe. The hotel was top level, spacious rooms, outstanding amenities, including state-of-the art gym, swimming pool with marked lanes, powerful jacuzzi, hot and cold water tubs in spa area, delicious cuisine, impeccable service and staff. It is highly recommended!

Hotel has blue shuttle bus from Shin Kobe train station. Lovely, quiet dated hotel on the water front with several dining options and small convenience store. Room was clean and spacious but had peeling wall paper and a view of the freeway which was a bit noisy. Requested room change but were told we would need to pay for upgrade. At $180 for room, we did not upgrade. We selected this hotel for the pool. BE AWARE pool is in a health club they charge $20 each to use and is not suitable for younger children as you are expected to swim in a lane. Likely that is in the fine print somewhere I missed. Likely you can find a cheaper better option and skip the pool

Amazing from the moment we stepped out of the taxi to when we left the hotel. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Made us feel valued and special. Beautiful room with great views. Fantastic location. We loved Kobe and our hotel. This was a fantastic experience for the hotel and the town. Would recommend both visiting Kobe and staying at the Hotel Okura Kobe.

The room I stayed in had plenty of space for luggage and leg room to walk around, perfect for at least two people. Very comfortable.

Room service was very good too!

Only warnings I'd give is that the property is a little bit far from the stations. You can still walk to them but it might be a bit of a walk unless you're willing to taxi to them and back. Taxis regularly stop in front of the hotel so they're easy to get.

Very big hotel. Twin standard room was very big.
Very comfortable.

Vibe is more towards older / sophisticated / formal. We didn’t do more than sleep there. Breakfast buffet was twice what paid in Kyoto so we skipped it.

Easy walk to China Town / JR line station. Shin line is farther, not walking distance.

Lots of restaurant's in the area.

We day tripped to Himeji and Osaka from Kobe. Good location.

A true 5 star hotel, our room had a magnificent view of the port area and was a very comfortable place to be. City and port loop buses stop outside and motomachi station is a 15 minute walk. I would stay there again without question.
