This is a beautiful hotel with lovely interior gardens and pool setting. Very quiet! Staff were super friendly and helpful! Excellent location in the arts district with many restaurants and shops nearby!
This was the second time I had stayed at this property and would definitely return!
This was a lovely location, but we were advised that this historic building was about to be demolished to make way for a condo building - tragic! So any review is irrelevant, as our great location no longer exists.
Demolition of historic buildings to make room for capital investments. Sad!
Lovely property , the staff were amazing , front desk woman went above and beyond , just a great place to stay
No bar or restaurant anymore which was sad since it was a great place but otherwise nothing else
Wonderful ambiance beautiful gardens and kind staff.
Upgrade coffee pot and mattress pads.
Central location to downtown San Jose. Quiet location inside courtyard. Nice Pool. Friendly Staff.
A quiet inn just off the Heritage district. Walking distance to everything. Beautiful courtyard.
The pool is small and needs a bit of minor upkeep.
It offers a quiet garden refuge in a busy city. We stayed on a Thursday night for the Art walk and the location was perfect. Parking is available on a first come, first served basis for a nominal fee of $7.00.
It is an older property and our room smelled a bit musty. One bathrobe and two towels for two people. Water container is available and you can fill it at the dispensary in the lobby. We booked a room with two queen beds but only a king bed was available. Those are really minor items though. It’s a trade off; beautiful grounds, tranquil setting in the perfect location. Architecture lovely but the rooms could use some updating and maintenance.
Beautiful property, great gardens and the downtown Cabo San Jose location was fabulous
Overpriced. At over $300/night there wasn't the attention to detail there should have been. Cobwebs in the shower, dead batteries in tv remote, threadbare towels.
Lovely hotel in a great location downtown San Jose. There are so many great restaurants around. The pool is small but big enough for 10 people. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it.
Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Rooms comfortable and clean. Bed comfortable.
The aircon struggled to cool the room as it is located in the bathroom with a half wall between it and the main room. The hot water in the shower was problematic. We were the farthest room from the water heater apparently. If no one else using the system no problem.
Charming and quaint hotel in excellent location. Right in the center of San Jose del Cabo. Reception was exceptional and maintenance kept the place clean and tidy.
The room we booked had a kitchenette but unfortunately it was not available due to remodeling. We were placed in main building and no kitchenette was available in our room.
We spent 4 nights at this well situated art district hotel. We had no complaints about the parking, front desk staff, or the location. There were restaurants and shops right outside of the door and down the street. The worthwhile Thursday Art Walk was in the immediate neighborhood. The city square was just a few blocks away.
The room was large and clean. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The pool was refreshing. The housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful.
We found some local places to eat within walking distance of the hotel where we enjoyed some delicious, authentic, affordable Mexican food.
We’ll definitely return to this hotel.
We’ve walked by this cute hotel many times & decided we needed to stay and check it out! It exceeded expectations! Really nice room, and comfortable beds & pillows. And such a peaceful pool courtyard area! We’ll go back for sure such a great location and great restaurants all around!
Room was nice and clean and far enough off the main drag that it wasn't too loud. And the staff was very nice. It was just a quick overnight so we didn't really use the facilities, but the pool is beautiful. Great location, just steps to all the fun restaurants and galleries.
All good
Truly beautiful property. This isn't a five star corporate venture but rather a tastefully decorated character boutique. Architecture and style are stunning. Of all my travels over past 5 years this property is in top 3. Perfect romantic get away for a couple. Arts/Gallery neighbouhood, adjacent plaza and wide selection of restaurants round out the experience.
Loud music on the weekend from nearby through out the until approximately 4 a.m. We have had stayed here in the past and had the same experience. Would we return. The answer is yes. The location in old town San Jose del Cabo is great, the restaurant adjoining El Encanto is has great food, service and ambience.
Beautiful location and environment with a private pool and gardens. The restaurant was especially good and the local musicians provide entertainment while dining. Overall a great experience.
