Cerro Mar Atlantico & Cerro Mar Garden

Hotel bien situé et bien sécurisé. Personnel gentil. On était au rez-de-chaussée et il y avait beaucoup de fourmis dans notre chambre et aucune compensation n'a été offerte ni changement de chambre.

Weak management! 5am sun loungers reserved! I won't be going back to this hotel. Guests reserving sun loungers at 5am and not coming out to them to around 12 midday. Went and told management but they didn't want to know. Lift also reported broken on second day of arrival at the Atlantico block 3 and wasn't fixed until the day 6 of the holiday. Ironing boards in the apartment but no irons. Only good thing anything hotel was the location to the old town but it's a steep climb back up walking back to the hotel.

The rooms are old and outdated in the far building. The bathroom was outdated and the tub did not drain. The elevator was broken. The housekeeping was inconsistent or non existent. Do not stay at the last building they consider ocean side. Front desk was friendly, restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. Overall stay was 3 star.

Room was supposed to have one king and two twins but instead it had two twins pushed together and a hard plastic couch with a trundle, both of which were very uncomfortable even though we had more bedding delivered. Rooms were bare and dated. Had all of the basic needs. Beautiful views. Last shuttles to old town were 5:30 so if you are going to dinner, steep walk there and back. Town itself was very charming and lovely.

Do not stay here. Upon arrival we were greeted with a €500 deposit to pay which we were not aware of as the TUI website displayed that it would be €250. When discussing this issue with the reception staff we also asked another group who were checking in if they were aware of the price of this deposit. They were not. When speaking to the other guests about this issue the staff on reception very rudely interrupted and raised their voices at us ordering us to stop bringing other guests into this situation.

We had yet another negative experience when checking out of our room. As expected we were to check out at 11AM, however our transfer was not arriving until 16:30PM. When waiting in the lobby during the day staff members ordered us to move our belongings off the table and onto the floor claiming that we had made a big mess which was absolutely not the case. During the time that we were waiting some of my group decided to rest and sleep for a while. We were rudely tapped and poked by the staff to wake us up and say that we are in a public place and cannot be asleep despite the fact that we had nowhere else to go. To further this there was roughly 5 other people asleep however they were not interrupted, nor were they told off. When I asked reception about this and why we were being picked on they had no answer and just stated that we were allowed to do what we want and make use of the facilities, completely contradicting what his colleague had earlier stated.

During the morning of our checkout we were extremely startled when at roughly 8:30AM someone - we think hotel staff - let themselves into our room and began flashing lights to wake us up, also going into the bathroom and lounge/kitchen area. While I understand that we cannot be late for check out, it is extremely worrying and frightening to wake up to a stranger in your apartment, especially as a group of young girls in a country by themselves.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. From our only 2 interactions with the staff, check in and check out, there is not a single positive thing to say.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location.

Before I give my honest opinion on the hotel, I must state to you that if you go with a group of over 4. They WILL charge you 500€ PER ROOM as a deposit. This was never disclosed when we booked from the hotel NOR the booking provider. We had to pay 1000€ as we had 2 rooms. They take the money in pending so you cannot spend that money whilst on holiday, which is outrageous. They did not let us check in until we had paid. The staff were nice about it and felt a bit awkward when we disputed it, but the manager was rude and demanded we paid or we could leave.
Onto the hotel, lovely hotel, lovely room. Bar food is nice, slightly pricey but fair.
Cocktails are nice, pints are mid. Pool is pretty busy. Gym is average.
Very close to old town, literally 5 mins walk down some stairs. 10 min taxi to new strip.
Defiantly would reccomend to families. lads & girls holidays, just be careful, don’t break anything or be loud after hours. But there was a good few groups at the hotel.

Great location near Old Town. The resort was spacious with a nice pool. The room we had included a washer which was amazing for my family to do some laundry and was able to hang the clothes to dry on the rack in the large balcony. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Great large apartment with good air conditioning which we needed as we stayed during a heat wave. The walk to and from the old town is not recommended for those who struggle to walk as the climb can be exhausting in 30c + temperatures.
We had quite a lot of ants in the bedrooms which housekeeping staff cleaned up and sprayed but they did return. This didn’t spoil our overall opinion of the apartment though.

Loved our stay. Was the perfect spot, quite enough away from the old town but very accessible when you wanted to go in. There are steps down to the old town so not good if your bad on your feet. Sometimes we got a taxi back and it was only 3 euros, bargain. I would definitely recommend.

Clean and great location, staff all very friendly. Could do with more sunbeds, as not enough for all.

Its too crowded at this hotel. Staff are overwhelmed. Too big of a resort.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and professional, making check-in and check-out a breeze. They were more than happy to provide valuable information on local attractions and activities, enhancing my overall travel experience.

While my stay was fantastic, I must mention a minor disappointment during my dinner at the hotel's restaurant. Unfortunately, I had to leave after waiting for 20 minutes as the server did not show up to take my order. This was a small blemish on an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Despite this hiccup, I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway in Algarve.

Friendly staff clean

Excellent property in the Old Town of Albufeira. Rooms and food are brilliant. Yes there are a lot of steps if you're walking up from the Old Town Square but if you're as fit as me 😎, they're not an issue. A taxi from the old town costs about 3 Euros up the hill so utterly recommended.

We spent six days at the hotel and it was amazing. The people were friendly, helpful and very professional. The furniture is a little old but in good condition. You have to pay separately for the in-room safe, which was new to us. But the hotel grounds are fully secured and we did not use the room safe. Very nice kitchen in the room with all appliances, coffee maker and toaster. Also all the utensils are in good condition. A great choice for a family with children. We highly recommend this hotel for a vacation.

Property matched what was represented online. Parking was simple and there were many amenities onsite.

This the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Cerro Mar. We were given a room on the corner of a block of apartments on a main road so it was very noisy with traffic at night. The property/apartment is ok quite dated. If I was ever to stay at this complex again I’d pay a little extra and stay in Cerro Mar Gardens which is linked directly to the main reception.
