Comfortable and good value accommodation
Pros:

Beautiful setting. Took our bikes, so Wells was in easy reach.

Cons:

Our room key deactivated after day one of a 2 day stay, which was annoying though quite easily fixed.

Pros:

Spacious and comfortable room with a lovely outlook. Friendly staff and a quiz to enjoy in the evening.

Cons:

The temperature in the shower was intermittent for me but not my husband. Location could be remote for some people but the Wookey Hole attraction is on the same site.

Cons:

Rooms tatty, areas grimy, bed and mattress Poor and slumped, dips made it tricky to sleep.
Breakfast wasn't all on offer on the first day, meat, cheese and pancakes missing.

Not a great stay
Pros:

The bed was comfortable after we had been moved from a twin room to a double. Walter, the Reception manager was very kind and tried to be helpful.

Cons:

I had booked and requested a double room with bath. We got a twin room with shower. We did get moved to the tower room which was a double but still with a shower. The upstairs and bathroom were freezing and there were huge cobwebs in the spire ceiling above the bed. It also looked like they were halfway through painting the room too. There was a light on the stairs that we couldn't turn off, probably for safety but very bright green and not conducive to a good night's sleep, even if you got over the cold and the thought of spiders dropping on your head in the middle of the night.
Breakfast was awful. Long queues, luke warm food, no cups and not a lot of choice or food such as yogurts or croissants. And it cost £27 for the two of us. We have stayed here before and it was fine but this time it was awful.

Good value for money
Pros:

Rooms are comfortable and very clean. TV and wifi connection good. Pub and club a short walk away. Caves are well worth a visit-£25 per head entrance but felt that was good value.

Fantastic value and lovely staff. We stay here regularly for work and it never fails

The staff! They're sooo welcoming and lovely. It's independent and they all appear to be local - it's clearly a happy place to work which equals a happy place to stay...

Great value, location and rooms and friendly, helpful staff.
Pros:

Excellent value for money and very friendly, helpful staff from check in, when using the restaurant and bar and check out. Thank you for a lovely stay. Wish I could have stayed longer to explore the area.

Realy wonderful staff, couldn't do enough for us. They were enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
Would highly recommend your hotel to all our Glaswegian pal's.
