Great Location, lovely staff, accomodation not so great.
Pros:

Check in was easy. We went to leave our bags and a room was available at 11:00am so we checked in then at no extra cost allowing us to freshen up before exploring York.

Cons:

The bathroom was very disappointing. Dark and dingy, black marks/mould on the ceiling and there was a huge dead spider in the light shade. The shower was so low we couldnt stand under it and the shower screen was so narrow it only went so far as the shower fixtures and did not cover any of the bath meaning the bathroom flooded when we had a shower.

Great location but there are nicer hotels in York for a similar price. We won’t be back unless the hotel is revamped
Pros:

It’s in a great location

Cons:

It’s starting to show its age. Needs a complete revamp inside and out.

Not to be repeated.
Pros:

Breakfast was ok, apart from the orange juice which was watered down so much you could hardly taste any orange.
Bed was quite comfortable.

Cons:

The room (130) was awful, nothing like what you would expect from a Hilton hotel, and in need of a complete renovation. Mould around the shower screen/bath, shower head so mouldy couldn’t bear to stand under it. Tap on sink so loose that the whole tap moves, toilet seat doesn’t fit the toilet and is loose, windows in extremely poor condition and in desperate need of replacement. I cannot believe the Hilton brand is happy to have its name associated with this standard of guest room.

Well located hotel in need of a revamp.
Pros:

Good location near city wall, good bed.

Cons:

General level of decor including corridors is poor, also problems with power, our room lights were out from midnight until 08.40 this morning. The room had an unsavoury smell when we checked in. Pillows were very soft.
