Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold options and the staff were superb

The rooms are small and feel dates and the main road next to the hotel can make some rooms rather noisy.

Enjoyed stay as staff helpful

Cons:

One of the bed lights kept flickering was reported but was told they couldn’t change the bulb , came back to the room after day out and couldn’t get on , cards reactivated we then got in the room no lights at all , reported and fused changed , the room lighting wasnt good

Lovely staf, nice comfortable bed

Cons:

Bar was very expensive for a drink. Was told prior to check in we was getting an upgrade to deluxe king room only to be given a deluxe room when returning to check in.

Convenient location and nice bar/ reception area but rooms dated!
Pros:

Great location and comfy bed!

Cons:

Bedrooms dated and was given room 72 on an annex across the car park, strong smell of sewage and the view on the ground floor was of a busy main road! Asked to be moved and luckily the gentleman behind reception managed to sort us out another room on the 2nd floor in the main building much better room can’t fault it!

Great location, room dirty and expensive!
Pros:

The location to the centre of York is great

Cons:

The room we were given was dirty, the bathroom has paint spilt all over the bath and the shower head looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. We were given a room round the back of the hotel and it was very loud and the outside door lock was not working so we felt unsafe.
