We’re very much looking forward to returning and we don’t say that too often about hotels we use!
Pros:

On our arrival on Thursday 16 July 2026 we were warmly greeted by a lovely receptionist, Hazel. Hazel was so informative about where we could take in some great sights in York and assured us that a comfortable stay was the hotel’s priority and she was right, we had a great time. Thank you Hazel! The property is right next to the fabulous City of York. Our room (75) was bright and spotlessly clean. I found a parking spot right outside my room. After a good nights sleep we headed off to the breakfast room. The breakfast was great and the team at breakfast were very good at ensuring everyone was well catered for. Thank you. Checking out was easy and once again the receptionist, Darina was first class; cheerful, professional and always smiling! Thanks for a great stay at this great hotel!

Cons:

I think the mattress has seen better days. It didn’t cause me a problem but keep an eye on it as it will need replacing soon. Thank you.

Super lokalizacja, bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa, możliwość pozostawienia bagażu po wymeldowaniu, smaczne śniadania, pięknie pachnące kosmetyki w łazienkach, bardzo wygodne łóżka.

Closest hotel to main attractions and restaurants in York. Very comfortable and convenient.
Pros:

The best location for someone visiting York for the first time. Everything is within walking distance. The car park was convenient. The staff was very friendly and helped us figure out a walking tour of the city. Great stay.

Cons:

Would have appreciated a fan in the room as there was no air-conditioning and there was a heatwave going on when we visited.

Very dissapointing
Pros:

Location was excellent

Cons:

Room was a joke. Couldn't walk around the bed as desk blocking access. Sink was dirty, bath had a big chunk out of it. Moved to new room, no plug for bath.

Friends taking a break
Pros:

It was very central to where we wanted to be. It was nice to have iced water in reception. Sadly there wasn’t any in the standard rooms

No parking for everyone as advertised its extremely limited
