A brief stay without any problems
Pros:

The property is an old pub. It has a good car park to the rear. It has a comforting feel to it. It’s hard to rate overall ambience having arrived late on a midweek February evening when it was fairly empty but I imagine it can be fairly warm and welcoming on a busy evening. The room was warm and comfortable.

Cons:

Nothing stood out as not to like. The room lighting was a little dim but that’s about it.

Charming Inn with plenty of parking, quiet location and good service.
Pros:

It was convenient and a trip down memory lane as I used to frequent the pub 40 years ago. The service was good.

Cons:

Unfortunately between making the reservation and the actual stay the entire management was replaced. The new manager is trying very hard to juggle all the roles but breakfast for example is currently only available at the weekend, and not during our stay. That will change. The rooms need some plaster filler, repainting and general renovation as its costly compared to other purpose built hotels nearby. As other reviews have stated it also has a rat issue.
