Convenient from A34. Comfortable. Lady on reception, who was the only person we saw was very friendly and obliging.
Things seem a bit worn and carpets curtains paint etc and needed refreshing . One bedside light did not work.
Very very good
Court yard rooms
All good
The overall atmosphere and the young girl behind the bar was excellent
Nothing
Breakfast was too late at 10am. There was no staff around to ask anything . We were disapointed .
The bed was comfortable.
The room looked nice.
The “private bathroom “ comprised of a really tiny shower cubicle (ok for us but some might struggle to wash).
The sink taps were wobbly.
Shower gel and shampoo were provided but there was no soap on the hand basin.
We did not book breakfast as it was not available until 10am
Great location for my needs. Comfortable and Clean.
Issues with the restaurant made an otherwise lovely stay, mildly disappointing.
However, the management did their best overcome the problems and we still had a nice stay.
The restaurant.
Chef problems left a limited menu.
Its location
Disorganised kitchen. Could order all the food on the menu.
Quirky we had small double room had to duck under the beams and doorway to get to the room walked down the side of the bed roll down the bottom of the bed where the floor slopes so much but it was a good laugh
Old country pub with good food
The hotel/bar was genuinely lovely! Would stay again, thank you, Team!
Olde Worlde atmosphere
No breakfast. Evening meal menu incorrect. Weren’t offered a dessert. Attitude of one member of bar staff churlish. Television complicated to operate and kept buffering
Nothing
No food after 7pm bar closed 9pm
Good central location but would have preferred one of the rooms at the back of the pub which seemed a lot quieter and away from the main building. Room was clean and adequate for two nights whilst visiting friends and family.
Had room at front of building on main road and noisy traffic. Also located directly above the bar so further noise until around midnight.
Second time staying here and it was even nicer than I remembered.
Staff were wonderful and the room was comfortable and clean.
Liked it all.
