Clean and comfortable room that had everything we needed. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and they went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was famtastic, we would come back for the breakfast alone! Great stay and would highly recommend.
Very friendly staff, lovely big room and bathroom, delicious food
Close to busy main road - double glazing was very efficient but that meant the windows had to be closed so no fresh air. Smallest bowl of porridge I've ever had for breakfast in a hotel.
Great location for my work nearby. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. Everything worked! Good tea and coffeee options provided. Good bathroom toiletries. I was grateful for the fan as it was a hot night.
The toilet was clean but needs a more thorough deep clean. I also live in a hard water area so I understand the problem with limescale - needs an efficient limescale remover and some dedicated brushing at least once a week. Looks unsightly. The weather was very warm and the room had lovely opening windows and a fan - but I didn't feel confident to have the windows open all night as it was a ground floor room. Not sure what can be done about that?
Superb we were attending a wedding nearby although the rooms weren't ready we were allowed to check in early and drop off our bags which was great a lovely lady welcomed us and gave us all the information we needed

It was a good size and comfy, nice and clean and easy access, breakfast was really nice and all the staff were happy and pleasant
Could have done with air on for the heat
Second time I have stayed so must be good. Room facilities are to a good standard and clean, there is secondary glazing that cuts out any road noise so that is not a problem even being so close to a main road.
Quality of the food served was very good, as was the breakfast, both took a bit of time but only what you would expect for fresh cooked food (not excessive)
My first stay there, there was a group of us eating so I didnt notice a wait to be served, however this stay I was travelling on my own for work, I had to wait a long time (15-20 mins) before I had to get the waitress attention to even get a drink, never mind order. The wifi doesnt work in the conservatory so that just made the wait seem forever. OK if you are not on your own. That said It wasnt the fault of the waitress as she had the whole of the food area to service, and it was quite busy, far too much for one person, and when she did arrive, she was very friendly and helpful even though she was run off her feet. Good food but get some additional help in the restaurant.

A bit warm in the room but the weather is unseasonably hot at the moment.
The rooms and the hotel were very well presented.
The hairdryer’s extraction vent was neglected. Very dirty. Kept tripping out.
The approach of cleaning it and rectifying was a little comical and no washing of hands before serving the breakfasts.

It wasn't that I didn't like this but as it was very hot there was no air con in the room. There was a fan but it didn't help bring the temperature down. As I and several others were staying the night before a wedding we needed to sleep

Breakfast was exceptional with a real country taste and no scimping on quality.
