Pros:

Close to what I was in town for. I liked the top floor bar with a fantastic view. Oh, and a nice dining area for breakfast.

Cons:

Wish it was a little cheaper. And the breakfast food was very similar to the Super 8 down the street. Pretty typical hotel breakfast.

Beware of Cancellation Fees!
Pros:

We have stayed at this property several times and have always been pleased with the location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. It is our first choice for staying in Houghton, MI. We were scheduled to stay at this property for Winter Carnival; unfortunately, our plans changed and we were unable to take our trip, so (I believed) I cancelled the reservation. The week before our stay, I received an automated message regarding our upcoming stay. I immediately contacted the hotel to cancel; however, the next day a late cancellation fee for the first night plus tax was posted to my credit card; over $400! I contacted the hotel manager, and was informed that there was nothing they could do because of the "special event" cancellation policy, which stated that the free cancellation period was 21 days. Despite escalating the issue to Hilton Honors, I was told that nothing could be done. Considering that I cancelled a full week before our stay, and believed that the reservation had previously been cancelled, I feel that the management could have been more flexible about the late cancellation fee. Disappointing!

Overall, the best hotel to stay at in the Keewenaw.
Pros:

The hot breakfast never disappoints. I also appreciate the fitness center - it is clean and has a lot of options to get in a good work out.

Cons:

The free WiFi is a little spotty, which makes video calls tricky.

WONDERFUL SUMMER STAY!
Pros:

We stayed during a road trip for five nights in a wonderful room with a view of the bridge and river. We plan to stay again next summer, as the room was very clean and service was perfect.
