Comfortable beds
The property was advertised as three levels with a lift. We were put in a room on the second floor but the lift was only to be operated by the staff when they were on site. It was definitely not acceptable for my wife who has a disability to have to use the very steep stairs.
Location, view over Launceston, comfort of bed
Lift wasn't working during our stay.
Very spacious room.
Very Helpful staff. Beautiful old building with modern facilities
Big room with two large opening windows (yay) and a comfy bed. However the decor is dated and could do with a refresh. Very well stocked and reasonably priced mini bar. Lovely communal balcony on the second floor overlooking the city. Effusive staff.
Noise from the next door bathroom was very noticeable.
Location is great. Easy walk to coffee shops and the city to explore. Not too far to walk to Cataract Gorge.
Lift not working and having to carry bags up to the 3rd level.
Great location. The bed was really comfortable and our suite was spacious with a living room.
It is a bit tired looking and the corridors and doors need painting. The windows also need cleaning. The lift was not working which was very inconvenient because our room was on the second floor and I have a damaged knee. I think we should have been informed of the non-functional lift before checking in. I would probably have tried to organise alternative accommodation.
Great location and view.
Hot water and good pressure
Fluffy white towels.
Good value.
Lift not working!
In order to access the verandah I requested I had to go down the hall and onto a common balcony walking straight past two other rooms . It was not secure or private.
The bath was deep but difficult to get out of and it had no hand grips.
The carpet and shower could be cleaner.
No kitchen or restaurant
Nice big room with bath/shower .
Bit of a hike up to floor#3 with the lift out of action...
Reasonably good location, room was clean and as expected. The place is hilly for parking purposes.
There's a balcony on the upper floors if you're lucky enough to have rooms there
The lift wasn't working properly, difficult to get luggages up and down outside working hours.
The room walls were very thin you can hear next room conversation. The shower drom the next room makes huge terrible noises when used (woke us up at 10.40pm)
You couldn't leave room keys outside working hours, waited until someone was in the reception
Comfortable, good shower, I liked that they provided bowls, plates and cutlery plus a fridge so we could do a DIY breakfast in the room. The minibar prices were also incredibly cheap - on a par with the price you would pay for a bottle of wine on special in a bottle shop - so we did what we never do and actually drank some wine from the minibar
There were some issues with the lift when we were there - they helped us get the bags up and down in the lift, but you couldn't use it unassisted to get between floors
Good traditional hotel overlooking the CBD. Good sized room. Accommodating staff.
Nothing.
Excellent location and nice heritage feel. Comfortable too.
