The room and the balcony
Nothing
Lovely room facing east to make the most of the late August morning sun on the private balcony. View from the room across Launceston from the hotels elevated location very nice and its in a great location walking distance to Cataract Gorge and the river. Loved staying in an old building with history and character.
Housekeeping wanting to make up my room at 8.30am when I was taking the morning slowly and still enjoying the room! The lift was out of order so had to carry luggage up to the second floor.
Beautiful building with large room (had a balcony). Heating was good and electric blankets. TV worked well with some streaming channels. Staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations for dining. Parking was easy. Quick walk into the main area of Launceston.

A beautiful place to stay
Comfy room and nice hospitable staff
We would definitely stay again
Good value for money.
Good location.
Friendly staff.
Very comfortable bed.
Clean.
Historic building.
Lift still doesn't work but booked ground floor.
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Room well fitted out and warm (it was cold outside!). Carpark was easy access. I'd happily stay again.
The lift was out of order and apparently has been for a while while they are waiting on parts/contractors. I was on the 3rd floor and fit enough to climb the spiral staircase but might have been a real issue for someone that couldn't?
A heads up that lift wasn’t working would’ve been nice.
Lovely hotel, good location, room has balcony, fridge, microwave and cutlery.
The lift didn't work. I advised of my time of arrival and I still got two phone calls as to when I was arriving. This is probably because staff aren't always around. I felt like I was the only person in the hotel so the vibe felt strange.
Clean great weather
Lift not working 41 stairs with bags not good
