Location was o.k.
Not until booked in, were we told food was not available (so had to go out for food in the evening). Parking was extra, but there was no mention on any of my printed paperwork of that!, when I questioned I was told it was clear when booking (sure it was not ). Room was tired and bathroom was not clean.
very pleasant and helpful staff
My room was very hot but when I reported it I was told it would be looked at
£15 parking for 8 hours was a bit excessive but with no restaurant available in the evening it was a deal breaker won’t be staying again
Breakfast was very nice plenty of choice, location was great for us 35 mins walk to York centre, buses passed every 20 mins if walking isn't your thing
RUDE DONT RETURN CALLS
ROOM WAS NOT DELUXE
The breakfast was good, they gave us a quiet room as requested and the staff were very helpful.
Nothing,all good
Location
£15 extra to park your car
A hidden gem, only a short taxi ride into york at £8.
Staff were fantastic and the price is amazing compared to other hotels in York.

If grade II listed building are your thing then this place could well be up your street
It’s looking a little dated. Paint peeling off window frames, bath tub had three repair holes in it. Wasn’t impressed with my early morning call which I thought was a racehorse going to the toilet at 6am on my first morning but that’s one downside of having a room directly above that appears to have the toilet located overhead of your bed.
Thought charging £15 a night to park in the car park was a bit steep. This extra charge was not flagged up by booking.com until we had made our reservation. The price of parking was not known until we checked in
Have stay in this property previously, staff friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable, used the buses to access York City Centre.
In general all was good, however some of the decoration was tired, the towel rail in the bathroom was rusting, and the shower sprayed onto the bathroom floor. It was busy at breakfast but did appear to waiting over half a for cooked breakfast. Staff were apologetic.
We stayed over the holiday period New Year, it was such a cold time but the room we had was comfortable and warm and toasty.
Excellent friendly staff, excellent breakfast.

This building is full of character and not just a standard modern box.
Walking distance to city centre via riverbank.
Paying for parking. If I am your guest it should be free and to charge me is profiteering.
The bed was very comfy
Didn't like been told it was £15 to park booking.com should make u aware of this also 4am till 6am noisy guests coming in shouting and drunk talking then 8am you turn on what sounded like a washing machine/dishwasher very loud noisy no lie in for us
