Poor Tired Hotel - watch out for parking costs

Cons:

When I booked the property it stated Parking. When I arrived at the property the parking cost was £15. I later looked again on Booking.com and you had to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see that Parking was £15. I would not have booked this property if I knew it would be £15 for parking, very decieving. At the start it should have stated that there was a parking cost. The room was Very Tired with paint flaking off the walls. Internet was poor which effected the TV signal with constant buffering

Comfortable bed, clean room and spacious room

Friendly and helpful staff

Cons:

Car parking is too expensive @ £15 for 24hrs used to be only £8 about 3/4 yrs ago so has nearly doubled

Breakfast is good value when booked with room but far too expensive at £19.95 otherwise

Room carpet was stained in room 51 on the dressing table side of the bed

For same price as a Travelodge, despite your breakfast and great service, I think I'd opt for TLodge
Pros:

The staff and the breakfast are 10/10

Cons:

* The rooms are dated.
* There being no electric sockets next to the bed to have your phone on charge whilst within reach, is annoying.
* You can really hear the noisy floors if someone above you is walking
* Sometimes warm water coming out of cold water tap, so sometimes unable to get a drink of fresh water in the room

Decent for the price
Pros:

Friendly staff, nice classic hotel. Old charm, which is nice.

Cons:

Its dated for sure. Also the bed had a weird dip in the middle.

A pleasure.
Pros:

Our room was lovely, very comfortable bed and great shower. Breakfast was amazing - we went with a cooked breakfast only but there was so much else available - fruit, cereals, juices, pastries. A most excellent spread!
The receptionsist was so sweet. I'm old so forget her name, but she was so friendly and welcoming.
It is such a lovely building with an impressively rich history.

Cons:

Can't complain about anything.

Absolutely lovely, best getaway!
Pros:

the stuff was excellent! very friendly and helpful! The garden was beautiful, loved that windows faced the garden. Room was great, comfortable sleep, no issues with the shower. And TV was operating well, you can log in to streaming services! Over all 10/10

The hotel is beautiful and full of character with lots of charm. The staff couldn’t do enough and made our stay comfortable. The lady on the reception gave us a ground floor room so we didn’t have to climb the stairs. Breakfast was good and delicious.
Our room was warm and comfortable, the bed was good and made every morning while we were there. The bathroom had a good shower with plenty of towels.

Cons:

Car park charge.
