Pros:

Room size was good. Bed comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Peeling paint on bathroom ceiling. Our room overlooked courtyard where other guests were smoking and smoke came into our room. Room was cold when we arrived and heating wasn't coming on for another hour. Thankfully a heater was given by reception when we mentioned it was cold.

Pros:

Friendly staff, good breakfast, parking facilites, out of town location , yet within walking distance of city center. Great that we were able to leave the car in the car park at 12.00 and go into York.

We enjoyed our stay ,the staff are all friendly .
Pros:

The room was nice ,very clean ,hot water late coming on in the mornings.Hand wash and shower bottles full but nothing coming out to wash hands .Lovely having patio doors onto little seating area .

Cons:

Parking price not mentioned when booking .Breakfast not value for money .Didnt mind having to eat out in the evening as food at the Plough was really good value for money .

Warm and welcoming stay
Pros:

I liked the themed room aspect. The staff were lovely, super helpful and were accommodating of our very late check-in. The whole place looked absolutely lovely and was not what we expected for the price (much lower than others we looked at). It was also conveniently close to the university, which we were visiting.

Cons:

The parking fee was a surprise, but it meant that we had a place to leave our car for the whole day, even after checking out, which was convenient.
